It's all a bit confusing. Above she says she had an apartment at the convent "until now" and below she says she was not asked to leave and has a contract. So what is it? Did she buy the apartment from Gwen? Does her contract prevent the convent's sale? Or does she have one of those crazy French "vente en viager" agreements?

Renovating an apartment in a "complex" that is still being renovated, and in a country where she does not yet live, full time, does not seem very stable to me. That's putting a lot of trust in people you don't know. She owns properties in Texas, and I assume she rents them out. Would her tenants pay to renovate her properties? No. That would be stupid for them to put money into a property they do not own. After all, what can happen? Death, divorce, stupidity. Why not pull a Ryan and buy a cheap piece of property, and start renovating it? That way, you OWN the property. This whole thing seems fishy. She knows what happened. She wants to tell people she knows what happened. She wants to tell people that she knows what happened and reinforces she will not tell them what happened. But, gosh darn it, she knows what happened. I don't feel sorry for her. I also wonder why she came searching for Stan's camera if she doesn't want to be on camera. I get they were both screwed by Pethericks and there's a bond, but how deep? Why come to social media and try to explain what she will not explain? Why find Stan's camera?

Clare did, as well as The Queen's Escape as Lochy pointed out (I forgot about that channel.). I want to say that the Puy Vidals did as well.

What's strange is that with B&B season about to begin, fan has made a vlog about the lake and is faffing off doing literally nothing.

Last year, Clare did a really good vlog on how they prepare for the season. They have multiple sets of bed linens and towels for each of the rooms, and unlike fan, they provide actual toiletries. Same at Puy Vidals. Meanwhile, at Chez fan, you get a threadbare towel that will stay damp to use for your entire stay (minimal of 4 nights) unless you are deemed worthy enough of a Patron to actually get the much-hyped and not delivered Yves Delorme towels (which won't be changed either), one bar of cheap soap (along with any random toiletries a previous guest left) and a comforter/coverlet that will only be laundered once a year.

I do not own a hotel, but I do look at hotel supplier websites (as good deals can be had on things like pool towels purchased in bulk.). Heck, good quality bath towels, bath mats, robes, duvet covers, toiletries, etc. are not that expensive when one is charging a song to stay there- these are the very basics fan should be providing. Even the black make-up facecloths (which both Denise and Clare showed) are such a good idea and really inexpensive. fan cares not- it's as if she sees the guests should feel privileged by staying there in the first place.

Heck I believe there is a Costco (possibly two around Paris. As often as they are on the road they could stop by. Costco do great quality towels relatively inexpensively. I’m not the sort who wants the towels replace after one use, but I’d have thought one towel change during a four day stay would be needed.

Lisa and Ted at Chateau De Montmagner. They have worked really hard renovating their chateau but have dreadful taste so every room just looks like an weird 1980's Tudor style pub. They tried to sell the chateau but no takers (no suprise). They completely ran out of money so started begging their subscribers for more money to convert the piggery and have vlog content. Each week it's like "we just need a few more euros to buy another bag of cement"..."thanks to the patron who bought us a boiler" etc. it's all very sad

I never followed them. Wasn’t their channel called something like “Renovating a Chateau for €30,000”. Always rubbed me the wrong way because they clearly were begging and had run out of money seemingly very early on.

My Grandson turned 18 today and he is having a bang on party tomorrow night in Melbourne at home .... around 60 coming , DJ and tent on the back lawn.... it will be around 16c top for the day but night it will be freezing and rain.
Well I guess Grandpa and Grandma can be there for around a hour or two and then we will go home.

They won't care what the weather's like.

And that would be how I reduce my canning pantry every spring to make way for the new year.

I only have 300 square feet of raised beds. fan could be raising and preserving so much!

I make grape jelly every year, it's the only preserving that I actually do and I recently said I probably wouldn't make much this year, because there's a lot left from last year. My sister staged a raid and there's 2 jars left. She didn't want any at Christmas. Anyways the buds are breaking on the vine now, so only about 5 months to go.

It's about 8°here right now, feels much colder and pouring rain (amazing). Cranky as hell, on antibiotics for a respiratory infection and just home from a half empty supermarket. Supply difficulties due to idiots blockading roads and fuel depots because they're pissed at the rise in the cost of fuel. Ordinarily, I'm fine with protests, right now we're all lucky I didn't actually run into them and I did manage to fill my car last night.

Nasty lying fan implying that she has love in her heart for all the fish harvested for food in the neighbourhood. What a load of balls. When she deliberately drained her lake because she would not spend money to comply with EU water regs Clara said that there was no concern at all for the fish in it, they were just left to flounder and die. Now that is forgotten and hidden, the story has been rewritten, she is just the poor innocent precious princess cruelly decieved by the nasty water police who bullied her mercilessly and made her empty the lake. Thus playing on the sympathy of her followers for their money to restore it. We see you fan you duplicitous witch.

I notice high pants was not around to wave the bread making gurner off. Although unfortunately we will be treated to yet more loaves in a month’s time when the gurner returns. He really is a prize wanker in how he gloats and shows off his crusty loaf in every episode, it’s as if no one else has ever created such a work of wonder before.

Now for my rant and it probably makes me as pretentious as fan. I really, really detest people who do not use cutlery correctly. Those folks who hold their knife like a pen or hold their fork the way Dan was doing when cutting his pizza. It is all so wrong, to me table manners matter. I positively despise watching people using cutlery in the wrong way to the point where I have to leave for fear of behaving violently towards them.

Nah, you're not pretentious, you know the correct way to do things and you can't miss it when it's done wrong. I'm left handed, but so left-handed that my right hand is basically an ornament, it doesn't get used much, but I'd miss it if I lost it. I'd probably freak you out if we were to eat at the same table, so we'll just sit beside each other. It won't be so noticable then and we'll have a lovely time restraining each other, when the urge to violence gets strong.
