They aren’t going to grant him a hospice transfer. He won’t make it down the corridor let alone out the door now more than likely. But of course Hollie mother the year doesn‘t care about that, it’s all about exercising what little power she has left over the hospital to the bitter end and not what is in the best interest of her son. I’m sorry I have bit my tongue before now, but she’s a sorry excuse of a mother who has let her own selfish needs and wants override every part of whats best for Archie!

For everyone that has shared stories of losing children or close family members after having to make the heart breaking choice to let them go, I hope you all know you made the best decision for your loved one. It must break parents who have been through this watching this clown show and wondering what if.

She is making a completely mockery of the system. Whilst she’s in out appealing to every single court in the land, poor Archie may succumb and breath his last. She’s accepted it’s the end. Why does he need to be moved and disturbed just to pass away somewhere else? Why do you need to take that risk? Sorry to ask, I asked before but no answer. If by some miracle she’s approved to take him to a hospice, can the hospital refuse transfer? Equipment? Staff?

Hospices are normally used for dying persons or respite , not for people who are already dead
They could also refuse on the respect and dignity of individuals already there
Nobody would want to be in their final days and have to be around the circus that she is creating

Cannot believe she’s saying the hospital hasn’t given Archie any care. Where did all these machines and medicines come from? Amazon prime?
The fucking gall on this woman to say her son has been mishandled- he’s probably receiving the best care in the world!
Imagine the morale of the staff when they see her spreading these defamatory and vitriolic statements in the media. She should issue an apology once all this circus dies down and she comes to her senses.

When Mum was ITU the nursing staff were amazing and caring, especially with my elderly and confused father. We didn’t stay overnight but went up each day.
At lunchtime they would come and suggest we had a break, and that the small canteen downstairs had lovely soup today. Or they they would say there was a nice stew or shepherds pie, maybe have that and no need to have a big meal tonight.
They cared for us as much as my Mum.
There were no private rooms, an open ward, but with the curtains half drawn to give each patient and family privacy but allow the nursing team to see each bed and monitor.
They explained what every tube and drip was for and what the monitors meant.
And I believe every ITU unit in the UK has staff who are just are caring and considerate.
We would have been most upset if we had loud objectionable idiots like Hollie disturbing those last few days and being nasty to those wonderful staff.

Its one thing not supporting her case and believing its best the machine is switched off but some comments lack compassion and some personally riddicule her when she is a just a heartbroken mother in a tragic situation

We should show her the compassion she’s showing the NHS staff then… Ah we are!

I don’t believe the narrative of heartbroken mother. It’s clear her sons interests are not her top priority (and I’ve lost a child)

New to this thread but I began the week finding her style and approach somewhat abrasive but I felt for her, the death of your child is unimaginable.

three days on and she’s a complete whacko with a total lack of respect for the myriad of talented NHS medics keeping Archie’s body “functioning”. I refuse to say keeping him alive as sadly, his brain injury is one that is simply irrecoverable from. I read Henry Marsh the neurosurgeon’s first book and he described “coning” patients as fundamentally “wrecked”. Sadly the body does not recover from it. I don’t know if she’s genuinely too thick to understand this, if she’s thick enough to believe the conspiracy theories her diabolical social media page is purporting, or if actually she’s just after money and fame? Because she sure as heck will cash in on interviews etc after this poor child is finally released from this situation I bet.

I also hope there’s an inquest into this sad situation. I don’t think we have had anything approaching the truth from her.

First time tattler here, been following this one for weeks though.
I understand the situation as I my own family had to make the choice to turn off life support for my older brother, he wasn't brain stem dead like Archie though but we knew he was damaged to the point where he would not want to live on.

That awful woman needs to go and be with her son, and then she needs to piss off into obscurity just like all the other howling chavs. Certain sections of the media have given her a free platform to spout lies and now it's set a dangerous precedent for the other cases that will no doubt follow in the months and years to come.

I don't even have words to describe what I feel about that facebook mob egging her on.
I hope that poor boy finally gets some dignity very soon.

I am beyond disgusted with this uneducated chav’s behaviour. This is not about her son, it’s about her. What she wants, not what’s best for him. The court should’ve slapped her with a civil restraint order after they lost the first appeal to prevent this circus where she is calling the shots and making them dance to her tune. Yes, she’s a grieving mother and it is incomprehensible to face losing a child. But having read the court judgements they have been incredibly sensitive and respectful which is more than can be said for her. She has slandered the highly intelligent medical professionals who have endured years of training and practice to qualify them to make these difficult decisions, going so far as to accuse them of starving her son, harvesting his organs and even the “choreographed execution” of him. These are the people who have worked tirelessly in caring for her son and the disrespect she has shown them is abhorrent. all she is doing is paving the way for a lawsuit to sue them when the inevitable happens.
Yes the courts and doctors have be sensitive to the family and their wishes but thankfully these professionals have the child at the centre of all of this, not some idiot parent who loves the limelight and merely wants to court the media to satisfy her own agenda.
she has previous for going to the media about her children, I think she is actually enjoying all of this attention. I couldn’t think of anything worse than being expected to give media interviews when my son is lying in a hospital bed on life support. She is happy to waste valuable time with him in favour of these fruitless court applications just so she has some control.
Despite what she says, the only person who has failed Archie is HER.

I'm sick of reading "at least they know they did everything they could" or " I would fight like that if it was my child" its like saying other parents of children like Charlie and Alfie (sorry if wrong name) didn't fight hard enough because they let their child go after a court decision

The Gards and the Evans families did the same thing though...I read earlier that by the time the Gards consented to Charlie's support being switched off he only had 10% muscle left. That's hideous. And it was 3 days after the court order. The families I feel for right now are the ones who didn't go to court in situations like this in the first place and accepted it with dignity

As a parent myself I would fight tooth and nail for my child's life, as I believe we all (majority anyway) would do but this has become a selfish act for his 'mother' to get her 5 minutes in the limelight, that poor boy has had what dignity he had left to pass peacefully torn away from him by the one person that should have been putting her son before herself. I can guarantee that once he has finally passed that spiteful witch will try and sue the NHS and unfortunately this will more than likely have a detrimental affect on the team that have been with him for the past 4 month

Would you fight tooth and nail if expert neurosurgeons had told you your child was brain stem dead though and showed you scans explaining carefully why that was the case. Then kindly allowing you as much time as you wanted to sit with them and come to terms with it. That’s what happened to us….. We accepted it and didn’t fight tooth and nail because we knew it wouldn’t change the outcome. This s**t show that HD and her minions are whipping up is very upsetting for me and I would imagine every parent who has been down this path. You’re right about her wanting her five minutes of fame, off the back of her probably already deceased child . First she says he just needs time, then he’s getting better, then she wants to take him abroad for a miracle cure, then she wants him to die in a hospice . She just wants attention. What’s interesting is she has never once said she wants him home. All I wanted was my son back home where he would be safe…. Charlie Gard and Alfie Evan’s parents fought to try and get them home but HD seemingly doesn’t want that..

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Alder hey withdraw treatment from Alfie in the evening? So it can be done in the evening. Leaving it longer is just prolonging it for Archie considering it was a Best interest case.

Yes they did start withdrawing treatment the evening that the ECHR rejected their appeal. The protesters the father had whipped into a frenzy tried to storm the hospital and were threatening staff leaving after their shifts. The police were called and set up a cordon. Little Alfie lasted about 5 days after being extubated and treatment being withdrawn but his condition was not like Archie. He was in a semi-vegetative state due to a rare metabolic disorder. After all the bluster his father then came out and asked the mob to go home as he and Alfie’s mum were trying to ‘build a bridge with the hospital that they could walk across’. Somehow I think Lisa has already burned her bridges as far as the NHS is concerned.
