I thought he would question why Carrington didn’t bring back the ones who can’t boil an egg. That was Andrea wasn’t it?

I hadn't noticed either. An (anonymous) candidate did a brief AMA on another platform last night and said it was food poisoning for Levi.

They also said that the producers told them treats were scrapped this year to allow more time to show the tasks, although it was probably also for budget reasons (not that the treats are that great these days — I remember them getting to go for a weekend in Monaco and Rome in the early series!).
I noticed Levi wasn’t there but I tuned in about 6 minutes in, so I thought I must have missed an announcement at the start.
Some of the recent ‘treats’ have been so poor they’ve felt like a punishment not a reward

Andrea and Megan. Although they (and most of the team) slowed Karishma down a lot in the kitchen by needing to be supervised the whole time, I guess ultimately, it wasn't the reason they lost the task.

There was only a small refund from the client, despite them showing up late and despite the egg and cranberry madnesses on sticks. And either Megan or Karishma said they ended up helping the carbonara sub-team with their prep, but as the carbonara peeps sold well but didn't sell out, production/kitchen prep wasn't the main cause of the failure.

I still wish the other team had done a callback to series 2 (poor Alexa) and put one whole chicken on each canape!

honestly I was expecting Sir Alan to bring her back on his own decision because she’s so bleeping useless. How the duck can she not boil more than one egg and peel it when she has five kids?

Lol. I think she was more excited about seeing Big Ben than starting the task too

my fella just sits throughout the episodes with his head in his hands. honestly was hoping as a 40+ woman for a bit of mid life representation and she’s showing our generation up!

What a ghastly bunch they appear to be so far. There's not one of them I like at the moment although some are still rather anonymous. The ones who've made themselves noticeable are very keen to backstab each other this year and nobody seems to be capable of teamwork.
If the chicken team had lost they would have thrown Dan under the bus straight away.

I know she looks like she probably was there when it was built, but I didn't mind Andrea being all starstruck by Big Ben.

As it's Valentine's Day, AKA the day after National Singles Day / National Single's Day / National Singles' Day, I've been rewatching series 4, the first series I watched and still my favourite. So many great characters, so many great moments and still so many screw-ups (ice cream exclusivity and kosher chickens being the best).

But my inner editor was surprised and delighted that when one team weren't sure where to put the apostrophe in their newly created 'celebration', they actually did some research, calling up The Telegraph editorial desk (lol) and the British Library. You'd never get that level of initiative these days, but also the candidates alluded to spending several hours trying to resolve this question — these days, they'd probably only get 30 minutes to create all the copy and do the design. The producers probably wouldn't let them check with anyone either.

Yet despite not being totally set up to fail, everything inevitably still went Pete Tong for at least one team each episode. Kevin and Jenny's 'celebrate saving the planet by sending a disposable card' being particularly ludicrous, and the way they got on their high horse in the pitch was perfectly cringeworthy.

Is that was the series with the bullying of Lucinda?

Yes, actually quite a bit of bullying: also of Sara and a little of Simon, which was not great to see. Mainly from the two Jennifers and Claire, though Claire just seemed more her usual bulldozing / not listening than actively malicious.
