Good morning,
Daughter surname is written incorrectly on the app . This is causing unnecessary upset. Please update with the correct one.
Kind regards

You'll need to take the change of name document in to show them and they will change it.

Oh we just fixed it ourselves if was just a valve that needed changing
Sorry I meant by showing the new meter readings. They will realise the leak has been sorted and you'll get some money back. They do this once in a lifetime I think.

I take readings myself every once in a while just to check I don't have a leak.

I really don't understand this. How could your daughter not have been aware of her surname when she was what, 3 or 4 years old? At that age I knew my full name and address.
You seem to have a history of problems with the school so I'd suggest popping in for a friendly chat.

This is a problem for a while away but I need time off work next January for my granddad's special birthday. With how my shifts work I need to swap to days to have them off. Do you think it's too early to ask the people I could swap with now? Should I wait a few months

Ask now, Then if it's not going to be possible for people to swap, you have plenty of time to come up with an alternative plan. Can't you just book annual leave?

I've asked one person so I'll see what he says. I don't get annual leave due to how my hours are it's worked into my days off so I get paid for them

My 6 year old does this

Because dad died when she was around 18 months, due to backlog of covid. Inquest was later than should have been, meaning actual death certificate etc. Was later than should have been so she only known herself as new surname. New surname was used around her before it became legal. Couldn't get deed poll until official death certificate, and even after that it took time for myself to come round to things.

Does anyone have recommendations for work shoes? I currently wear crocs but I think I want to try something new. I've been looking an onclouds or brooks. Preferably waterproof but don't have to be

All my shoes come from FitFlop now. I've had so many foot/knee operations that I find them the most comfortable.

My feet have got wider thanks to the menopause so I had some insoles made by the NHS podiatrist and got some wider sneakers from D B Shoes which are nice and bloody comfortable!

That's good to know as I was actually also looking the other day at fit flops WORK+ High-Performance Professional Clogs. I'd seen someone on tiktok recommended them but didn't know if they'd be like crocs and I have narrow feet so didn't know if they'd be secure enough as some styles of shoes I can't wear as they fall off.

I wear Brooks for running and they're super comfortable. You can get Goretex ones.

I ordered fitflops recently but found them so narrow ended up getting birkenstock bend low trainers which have a really wide toe box!

The thing that put me off the brooks is a lot saying they didn't last very long? Do you find this? Seen people say they used to be very good but recently the quality isn't as good as it was

I‘ve been buying Brooks running shoes for a good 15 years and always found them to be really long lasting. I think I’ve had my current pair for four years but admittedly I don’t use them for running, just gym. I have a very pronounced overpronation and they were the most supportive ones I could get.

I guess it all depends if the reviews you are reading are from runners who like to retire their shoes after X amount of miles when they're supposed to be no good for running any more. Mine become dog walking shoes / general trainers once they're no good for running - I literally wearing them through to the next layer of sole before I give up on them! Having said that, some I see for sale on Vinted look absolutely trashed with massive holes in the upper (why are you selling them not putting them in the bin?) whereas mine never look like that even when the soles are dead.

No they were reviews from people who work them for work. Probably selling them to the shoe fetish people who like dirty used smelly shoes

Do people do this?! I’ve got so many pairs of heels I have finally admitted I’ll never wear again - I must be sitting on a gold mine!

Apparently there’s a big market for worn shoes, socks and knickers. You have to be creative with your advert though, because eBay and Vinted don’t allow obvious sales to perverts. A friend from uni topped up her student loan by selling Primark knickers smeared with Vaseline on the gusset
