I'm often impressed by the contestants I've never heard of, Ania Magliano being a recent one, and my love for others grows, someone like Joel Dommett was great! I just don't know how Matt Lucas is going to be at all tolerable. I find him creepy and smarmy

I don't know if I've seen Matt Lucas as himself much. So I'm open to liking him on TM which does seem to bring out other dimensions in people sometimes. God knows I've seen enough people be very surprised at comedians who they didn't like on something like Cats Does Countdown knock it out of the park on TM.

The next series has been announced to air in the autumn. Chloe Petts, Isy Suttie, Matt Lucas, Nina Conti, and Richard Ayoade are the contestants in series 22. TM Australia is wrapping up their series 5 now and Series 7 of TM NZ should be airing this (Northern Hemisphere) summer.

Absolutely agree with this. I didn’t know of Kiell beforehand, and he’s now one of my all time faves! Also really liked Ania, and who was the lady in Matt Baynton’s series? In seat 1? Really sassy! Loved her. Sorry, menopausal brain won’t let me remember her name!!!
Also Mike Wozniak - I’d only seen him in Man Down but loved him on TM.
Almost forgot Jason Manzoukis!!! Loved him so much!!!

"Mr Swallow" and anything played by Morgana Robinson being two of them.

I never 'got' the acts on catsdown (I generally disklike 'characters' in Dictionary Corner) and actively disliked them for it, however, once they were on TM as themselves, it made me revisit them on catsdown repeats where I found I began to enjoy them more.

I'm sure the same would be true of Adam 'Sean Bean' Riches – playing the character does nothing for me, so maybe seeing him as himself would change my mind.

I didn't like him when he did Bake Off. I hope he doesn't do the whole try hard weirdo thing.
