Is there any chance of smells? Or if you’re really heavy does it feel uncomfortable or ‘slidey’?
I found the cloth pads i used before the pants would have to be changed more frequently like 3 times a day because of the smell. Just change frequently as you need to.Is there any chance of smells? Or if you’re really heavy does it feel uncomfortable or ‘slidey’?
I'm 40 and I only really started using them about 10 years ago, like you I got scared to death as a teenager about TSS!! At first I hated them and found them uncomfortable but I wouldn't go back to pads now, I think they give me more freedom. Maybe give a few diffrent ones a go? I personally find the tampax compact pearl ones the easiest!I use towels and admittedly I have never used a tampon, am in my 30s (and sexually active). Is this unusual? I don't like the idea of sticking it in there and I read some horror stories about TSS as a teenager which scarred me although rare I know.
Probably a really stupid question from me, but how far in do you have to push the tampon in?I'm 40 and I only really started using them about 10 years ago, like you I got scared to death as a teenager about TSS!! If you get the ones with applicators it does it automatically because you push the applicator in until it stops basically. If you can feel it it’s not far in enoughProbably a really stupid question from me, but how far in do you have to push the tampon in?
Reusable towels? Wasn't aware of these. Do you wash them in machine? What are they like to wear, compared to disposable towels?I use reusable towels. Never used tampons. I've tried a mooncup and no matter how many times I tried, it wouldn't stay in. I was advised that you can try them when you're not on your period. I did that and they didn't work.
There's something about period pants that give me the ick!
I think my partner would be totally grossed out by it, we do separate washes but i'm imagining him now washing his boxers knowing my bloody pants went through in the previous wash!I know it’s better for the environment but putting anything with period blood on it into my washing machine just gives me the boak tbh
the same way as period pants. rinse in cold water then wash. I started off with these.Reusable towels? Wasn't aware of these. Do you wash them in machine? What are they like to wear, compared to disposable towels?
