Oh she’s all for her kids getting a good education. As long as it doesn’t encroach on their holidays, fits around her and Greg’s every whim and is aesthetically pleasing enough to suit the decor.

I’m disappointed (though not surprised) in her stories about schools last night. In the next breath she’s backtracking & saying she’s on the side of people forced back to work. Let’s be honest, she’s never been on the side of schools or teachers at all, why should that change now?

As a teacher I get so frustrated with this crap. Schools need to start reopening not for her kids but for the vulnerable, those with tiny houses and no garden space, those whose parents aren’t well. Don’t need the place for your kids - great! But it’s so one sided and shows no consideration for what is essential for many. People in public eye saying things like this means people jump on and call it out as stupid without considering why schools need to get open to more children. (I don’t get the R, Y1, Y6 thing particularly though I’ll admit that seems random!)

Today has pushed me to unfollow her - firstly the mocking of some mixed tape an ex of Greg’s made which is a bit unfair to the ex in question and secondly her assertion that she doesn’t want to see other people’s ‘real lives’ behind insta perfection because she’s ‘comfy and content’.

Every opinion she has (‘just my opinion guys’) always has a barb at other people thrown in or some implied criticism. She’s very ‘mean girls’. (I get the irony of calling someone that whilst criticising them myself!)

What is Susie’s problem with the education system in this country - she is endlessly derogatory towards it, she has NOTHING good to say about it or have any thought about how hard her son’s teachers, TAs and wider school community are probably working right now to make him feel safe, secure and putting him on a path of education. All she does is huff and puff and put her fingers up to it all as if it’s all an affront to her. I’m a teacher and I find it deeply insulting.

I understand what you are saying however, early years education is massively important for children. It lays the foundations for a lifetime of skills. It’s frustrating when you work so hard to provide a curriculum which brings learning to life for kids and parents don’t appreciate it and just see early year teachers as a form of childcare that they can use when it suits them. Learning in school is not “being cooped up in a classroom”. Times have changed.



It’s not all finger painting, believe me! And phonics is a pretty important aspect of literacy to learn if they want to be able to read and write!

100% this. There are lots of issues with primary education in this country (year 6 teacher here) but early years education is so important and EYFS teachers do the most amazing job, it's definitely not 'finger painting'. I really like Susie's attitude about education in terms of play, exploration etc but the disdainful way she talks about school is just not ok.

What I don’t understand ( and this goes for all influencers not just susie) rather than moaning about tattle, what don’t you use it for unbiased feedback. They are a business - despite what they say, so why not take on board what gets said, and see if you can use it to improve?

Honestly, if I was a influencer - that’s what I’d do.

Because they are all egomaniacs who can’t see reason or deal with any kind of constructive feedback or conflict.

They are “influencers” because frankly they would fucking suck at any other job in the real world. Susie had a junior role at Nuts magazine for what, a year? She’s got no real world work experience at all. The majority of them are the same, no real life experience but the arrogance and the attitude that they are something special and that the world owes them a living because they choose to sell out their privacy and that of their family for a quick buck.

Some families are not afforded the luxury to holiday in school holiday times. If it meant those children missed out on going on holiday because of cost then I would absolutely encourage a family to take a holiday in term time so they can have the experience of a holiday. Whether this be in caravan at Butlins, in a tent at a camp site, a villa in Spain, or climbing in mountains in Arizona. I’m not referring to being in a desert in Arizona as an amazing experience, I am referring to what each individual holiday has to offer. Learning about other cultures, communities, learning through nature, learning about the world around them. Climbing hills or mountains which will promote physical development which every child needs before we can even consider teaching them to hold a pencil to write their name. These are all elements of the early years curriculum that can be taught in the classroom but is limited. Having these experiences first hand is extremely beneficial and will SUPPORT their early years education, not limit it.

I don’t think anyone is accusing S & G of being neglectful parents but they CAN afford to go away in school holidays, yet the CHOSE to take the kids away and let Milo miss 3 weeks of school to visit their holiday home and plan their wedding. This holiday was not taken to educate Milo, but because it suited them. This was not about the kids.

And that is the issue for me. Her laissez faire attitude to schooling and the system, yet calling herself an education ‘bore’ because she made Milo make the scrapbook

She seems to think the first year is an extension of nursery, when in reality the kids learn so much in the first year. Mine both went from non-readers and writers to being able to read books and write full sentences - I remember being amazed at the transformation.
He will be missing out on not only the learning but the friendships, potentially birthday parties, parts in school plays etc if this carries on, which presumably it will.
It also shows their complete lack of respect for the school & system, which can’t help but trickle down to the kids.

I replied to her stories with these thoughts exactly! She said she doesn’t think early years education has any educational value so it shouldn’t matter if they are taken out whenever she wants. That’s right, we are only laying the literacy and numeracy foundations for your child which they will use for the rest of their lives but no educational value. Piss off Suzie and teach your own kids if you think u could do a better job.

She's worked for a year or 2 of her life max, but talks like she's a fleet street veteran. She grabbed on to her meal ticket and left employment behind. Unfortunately she vastly overestimated Greg's pulling power in terms of the big tv roles. She didn't realise that making him get his teeth done (I predict hair transplant before the wedding) just turned him into a gurning, grabby idiot. They're both on a massive money grabbing mission right now to pay for the wedding and holiday home. He should have kept some exclusivity like for example dame Kelly Holmes, that's when you remain well respected for your achievement and get the coveted tv roles.

The total sell out is sickening really because a while ago she took the kids off social media but the last year they've been back full throttle. The problem with joining every bandwagon suze is that you forget what you've committed yourself to and end up being a total hypocrite. Oh, and stop with the pregnancy swipe ups, you know these garner thousands of swipe ups but it all seems so desperate.
