As an early years teacher I can safely say that not all learning happens in the classroom. I spend my days teaching children how to talk because they haven’t had meaningful interactions with their parents/carers at home. Supporting children who become frustrated because they can’t see properly because their parents don’t consistently put their glasses on them. Giving emotional support to those that live in chaotic environments and haven’t yet learned how mange their emotions. Supporting children to toilet train because parents find it too much of a hassle. Teaching children how to play because they have spent their very early years being parented by a screen. Yes, early years education is important and I am extremely passionate about it but trust me when I say that the experiences being offered to this little boy support his early years development and will teach him the skills he needs to be prepared for his future learning. Missing a few weeks of school for a positive life experiences will not hinder his development in comparison to those children who’s basic needs are barely being met. I celebrate parents who give children such positive experiences and allow them to engage in first hand experiences and learn how to manage risk. Children are more capable than we give them credit for. I missed many weeks of school to travel the world and I’ve still managed to qualify and deliver outstanding teaching to hundreds of children. Phonics is important but it’s not a fundamental life skill that so many children are not being taught in this generation.

Unless they’re on a plane home I assume Milo is being taken out of school for this ‘educational’ trip? How is she swinging that one with the school - when did wedding planning and going to sweet shops become a good enough reason for Milo to miss school?
They’ve been to Arizona with the kids at least 3 times, can she really justify that to herself as educational.
Because he's (barely) five and given the choice between spending a couple of weeks abroad with my five year old doing things (they're not exactly lying next to a pool doing fuck all are they) or doing dreary school runs in the rain for him to be doing all the ridiculous things that the curriculum has decided 5 year olds need to be doing, I'd be on a plane.
I'm a teacher, if that helps at all..

I'll never forget when she put in her birth plan not to ask about the gold medal. I didn't think second hand cringe could be such a strong feeling. 🤦‍♀️

Susie buying her 5yo the periodic table, despite taking him out of school before he’s finished phonics to wedding plan.... is amusing!

I’m confused who the Arizona day out stories are for?

In that, if she was out showing off WoburnSafari Park and what a great day out it is for kids, I’d wager she’d have a few thousand followers who live within an easy distance of it and would think “yeah we’ll try it”. Does she honestly think her Arizona stories are going to make people want to go on holiday, to a desert?!

All I can see is that she is over sharing. Those kids are totally recognisable, their full names and DOBs are in the public domain, she has given up any privacy they’d hope to have. And it’s totally unnecessary. There are far more famous former athletes than Greg who’s kids you wouldn’t have a clue what they looked like or their names.

and like someone said earlier, Rex not the flavour of the month currently. But fancy taking a toddler to a museum?!

So glad I found this thread as I’ve grown to find Susie unbearable in the past year. The fact she constantly bangs on about ‘travel’ and how much she loves it. She’s been nowhere, they go to one place in America annually and that’s it. It’s not like she did loads of travel before Greg either. So essentially she’s been to Arizona 3 times and California once. A regular Judith bloody Chalmers. 🙄🙄🙄

2014 she was 26, had lived and worked in London, had a child. She can’t use growing up in Kent and having minimal exposure to POC as an excuse. She’s trash, she’s always been trash, trying to get cheap laughs out of criticising others, the eye-rolling and the superiority. It’s just that now she’s been exposed as a full on hypocrite.

Sooooo many people have asked me about this £155 for a 3 year old. Just so happens here’s my #aflink.

What reasonable person spends £150 on an anorak for a kid who’s growing rapidly. I wouldn’t spend that on myself and I stopped growing in 1999.

I used to really love Susie but agree with lots of the criticism on this thread. When she said that the Pandora advert was 'authentic' - what an absolute joke!

She used to be my fave Instagram person for such a long time (first started following her around Rio 2016) and she'd always be the first insta stories I'd watch but then it just became loads of random clothing 'edits' with afflinks which seemed at odds with what she actually wears on a day to day basis.

I think what I find annoying is that so much of the stuff she does is contradictory - she'll talk about how crap supermarket clothes are (obviously far more cost effective to dress your toddler in £150 coats loll!) and how important it is to support small businesses... which is all well and good until she's all about the Asos #afflink - so fast fashion is ok as long as she's making some money from it?!

I remember when I first had my little boy and I loved all the pics of Milo kitted out in lovely outfits with cool prints so I looked them up online...i couldn't believe how much she was spending on kids' clothes! That said, this was all before influencers had to declare ads so thinking about it now, they were probably gifted or heavily discounted!

Nothing about their life seems aspirational any more - there's no original content, just ads. Oh and all the 'travel' (always made me roll my eyes that she included that in her bio!) is boring and stuff they've done before plus their renovation seems to be taking forever.

Does anyone remember when MOD and FOD were mid kitchen renovation and Susie did a story about how they'd "love" a Herringbone kitchen but because they would be reusing this kitchen for their annexe further down the line they were going for something more affordable? She made a really big deal about how they were taking their time with their renovation because it's their forever home etc so when she made the throwaway comment recently about how they'll "probably" move abroad it just seemed a really odd comment to make. Maybe they've realised Greg isn't going to get a pundit type job in the UK so are just cashing in while they can!

I think that IRL her and Greg are probably lovely and lots of fun to hang out with but the past 6 months on Instagram have made them come across like ad hungry twats.

I also agree with whoever said she is quite immature - she obviously left her job at Look mag when she got pregnant with Milo so has spent the past 5-6 years of her mid to late twenties as a SAHM in quite a rural area - nothing wrong with this at all but she tries so hard to come across as worldly wise but really misses the mark and I wonder if it is because she's quite isolated where they live.

Another thing - she ALWAYS seems to have to cancel "work trips" at the last minute due to Rex being unwell etc... Which makes me a bit suspicious as my little boy is poorly quite a bit too and I do my best to minimise the impact on my job even without help from my partner or parents but she has Greg around plus her mum and step dad who seem quite involved with the boys, can't they look after him?!?

I must admit, after the story where she admitted that she'd skived off work for several weeks to go abroad with Greg in the early stages of their relationship made me think less of her. A sickie here and there for the odd day, fine, but to go abroad for several weeks and lie to your colleagues for that long... it shows a terrible work ethic and attitude in my opinion.

I've been reading tattle since the whole MOD thing kicked off but this is my first post, who knew I had so much to say 😆

I couldn’t disagree more. Those two boys are out exploring, visiting museums etc. Milo will be getting far more out of being with his family (who engage and interact with him. He’s clearly a very bright little boy) than he would get out of being cooped up in classroom. It’s not as if they’re sticking them in front of an iPad while they traipse around wedding fayres!

I really dislike this country’s attitude to early years education. I think we get it massively wrong. Given the chance to do what they are with my children, I’d happily pay any fine, and know I was doing exactly what was best for them.

I like Suzie, I really do, and her & Greg seem like a nice couple. But they’re really not the brightest are they? Imagine banging on about how much you ‘don’t fuss’ over Valentine’s Day (so presumably don’t exchange gifts), less than a week after being paid by a massive jewellery chain to encourage people to buy their Valentine’s Day range. The advertising team at Pandora most be livid.

Very late to this and new to this thread and I'm sure it has been pointed out. Her racist tweets are from 2013 and she is blaming it on being some little country bumpkin. But the London Olympics were in 2012 and her partner was right in the thick of it. Therefore she must've been involved. So you are in the middle of a huge sporting event with people from hundreds of countries for weeks - yet the next year you feel comfortable enough to say black people on the X Factor aren't as good?

I’m not a teacher but it really bugs me when people are so disrespectful of school/ education. Never the ones with a high level of education themselves though, is it? If you don’t like school, fine, home school. Let someone else have his school place. I get that they learn things on holiday etc but they’re off 12 weeks a year, go then! If you can’t afford to go in school holidays, you can’t afford to go (I can’t afford to go 😂).

Edited to add - school is about so much more than education. My kids have made the most lovely friendships that have brought out sides to their personalities I’ve not seen before.

the thing is, she genuinely seems to identify herself as some sort of celeb... she certainly seemingly regards herself as famous... “I don’t like house tours whilst we’re here”, why is that? You’re concerned about your safety? Yet flaunt the children and every detail of their lives at every opportunity.

at least there’s no concerns of people knowing where Milo goes to school ...because of course, he’s never there!!!!

“Ice cream scientists?” For goodness sake you just made ice cream with them. She thinks she’s so creative when she does things with the kids. I’m going to let my son be a water explorer tonight (have a bath) then tomorrow he can be a martial arts master (play fight) and a computer programmer (watch the iPad)

I'm going against the grain here to say I am not a fan. She wrote a really spoilt and ungrateful post about weddings that she had been to being "dull" ... I'm blocked so I can't recall the exact words she used but it sounded so rude. I dared to say to her that it is an honour to be invited to anyone's wedding and we can't all afford beautiful Instagram worthy weddings and that I hope she never has to read that one of her wedding guests thought her day was dull.
