I'm looking into getting myself a subscription box and wanted to hear if anyone had recommendations. I don't want to spend more than £30 a month.

I'm thinking something to do with books, food (especially baking), stationary, art & crafts, or something more niche.

I'm not really drinking caffeine or alcohol at the moment, and am not majorly fussed about beauty, but any recommendations welcome as I'm sure I will find good gift ideas too!

Please recommend your boxes of joy! 💐

I used to have a Papergang stationery subscription, each month the box and bits inside are designed by a different artist and I got some really lovely pieces. I really liked it and well worth doing for a while as they sometimes have greeting cards and wrapping paper inside and good for gifts, but it got repetitive for me as there is a limit to how many notebooks a person needs.

Once I've used up what I've got I'll probably look to rejoin again.

I was getting the Lush Kitchen subscription box for a while but I cancelled as I was getting more products than I was using and Brexit (customs charges )

It was £40 a month AFAIK, so on the expensive side but I would recommend it to die-hard Lush fans as you do get nearly limited edition or exclusive items. But yeah, duck Brexit custom charges lol, I'm still salty about that.

A friend of mine uses https://hmdbookclub.co.uk/ a used book club. All the ones she’s had so far have been in good condition too.

I get degusta boxes which are new food and drinks and really like it. We’ve discovered lots of delicious things from it that we wouldn’t usually think to buy!
In the past I’ve also had The Biscuit Baron which I’d recommend especially for gifts. Also Snack Surprise but I wouldn’t recommend them, when the boxes arrived they were really good but sometimes they’d take aaaages to arrive and their customer service is appalling.

Basically I like food things 😂

That's so annoying you had to cancel due to Brexit charges! I imagine they've lost many customers because of that... Sadly I have no bath so would probably not get the use of it, but would otherwise have adored this!!

I've had Bakedin boxes monthly for the last year and really like them. They have a bread box and a cake box, I have the bread box and my son has the cake box. Always something slightly out of the ordinary or a bit more elevated than what you'd normally do and pushes me out of my comfort zone.

So many suggestions! Thank you! The used book club has caught my eye.

I hadn't heard of them before but might be on to a winner! Glad to hear you feel they're a bit of a challenge - I feel I'm in a rut of baking the same 4 things over and over because I'm good at them. Thanks!
