Nadiya wasn’t a good choreographer am not surprised she’s out.

Luba we never saw her loads she didn’t get a fair crack at it I don’t think.

Gorka am not surprised after he was missing last year doing the Spanish show.

I think they were all chopped regardless of what message they put out.

I do agree with your analysis overall but a bit stumped by one thing.

How was Michelle annoying? She was probably one of the most toned down, introverted pros they’ve had.

I’ve just seen photos of La Voix on a boat trip in Mauritius with Aljaz and Janette. They always seem to make great friends with their celebs. Although you would think one of them would need a break from the other after all that time on the show and tour

I do think you can tell a lot about the pros (and also the celebs) by their off-season behaviour. For example, I know a lot of us take the piss out of Neil, but him inviting Julian and his fiancée to his home for Christmas was thoroughly decent in my opinion. And the other pros seem to love him. Loads of them showed up to Havana’s christening.

Michelle was really promising with her partnership as a choreographer and teacher, not her fault her partner was a shit.

Luba has shown time and time again what a beautiful dancer and kind person she is, but they’ve never bothered to showcase her.

I think we can all understand why Karen would be axed, she has been phoning it in for years now.
But I’m surprised if it’s true about Aljaz, he has only been back two years, I loved his partnership with La Voix. Plus he is a lovely ballroom dancer and good, supportive teacher.

I love all three of Michelle, Jowita and Alexis - the latter, I love her attitude and I think she'll only improve with longevity. If anyone's run out of potential it's Amy! (I like her and she's been through hell but come on, she's so boring in terms of dancing and choreography).

I agree about Amy. JB came to life when he started dancing with Lauren. The issue is she will have to go of her own choice unless the BBC want to be portrayed as the villains who sacked a Cancer survivor.

This is the problem with pros becoming bigger celebrities than the contestants. They're not going to get rid of people like Dianne and Amy who have big social media followings and are well known outside of the show, even although they're among the weakest pros. Michelle was brilliant the one year she had a partner, really creative choreo showcasing the contestant and she had a really fun positive attitude. Pros like Michelle and Luba who turn up and do the job and don't make it all about themselves are exactly the type of pros we need on Strictly, but they seem to favour the ones who grab the spotlight at every opportunity and act like the main character.

I don't understand in what way the source thinks Nadiya is popular. She was there 9 years and only had 1 top 5 finish and 2 top 10 finishes from 7 partners. Since Dan Walker she has finished 13th, 15th and 13th.

She has done 4 Christmas specials which she hasn't won and her highest ever score from a dance is only 35.

She's not been dropped because of her age.

I think they could do a complete overhaul of all pros, tbh. We shouldn’t really care who the pros are. Making the pros celebs in their own right and elevating their status to higher than that of who they’re dancing with has been to the detriment of the show in my opinion.

The inflation of pro egos has been disgusting, resulting in cash grabs, entitlement and bullying. The favouritism of popular pros results in repetition and newer ones never getting a chance to be popular. It just really seems to me like the whole show needs a hard reboot.
