What sort of a name is Gladys for a storm? 😂
A fucking terrifying one! You just know Gladys is going to be a nightmare. I can already hear her tutting at the state of my silverware. I'm going to burry it.

Great place to take the family during gale force winds, a cliff on the north coast 🙄

I’m pretty frightened by it tbh. Just me and little one at home so trying to be brave for him. Got all the devices on charge at the mo in case power goes. Hope it’s not as bad as reports say 😞 doubt I’ll get much sleep tonight worrying.

Drove on the motorway the other day to get my fur baby his food and a big plastic sheet hit my front windscreen! It was so scary thought I was gonna crash, I’ve been homebound since then. It’s still so windy! can’t cope with this any longer it’s like quarantining all over again

Does anyone else get really bad headaches in windy weather/the build up to a storm? I've had one the past few days.

Had to do some repairs to the garden fence today as the wind yesterday was bad enough to blow a few planks out. So goodness knows what will happen tomorrow! Thankfully not in red zone though (am in Amber).

But I must go out tomorrow morning as my Mum is ill and need to drop some "samples" at GP surgery before noon so they can figure out if she needs antibiotics. Wish me luck please! I'll try to remember not to park under any trees of possible!

Super windy here in Brighton too and it's still going strong. They had danger signs on the beach since Wednesday.

My sister's Badminton class has been cancelled which I'm glad about even though it's already been paid for at the start.

Considerably worse than Eunice here in the North West. I’m pretty appalled there is only a yellow wind warning, especially when this is coinciding with rush hour. It’s hazardous out there. We have a motorway closed, train cancellations and planes struggling to land. It really does highlight the North/South bias.

My work have just informed us that one of the partners has been out on a home visit and the drive there and back was particularly bad so we can leave at 4 instead of 5 "if we wish".....

I mean I'm not gonna turn down an early finish but surely if they're that concerned they'd send us now 😬 :ROFLMAO:

I think it’s getting so much attention because of its suspected coverage of the U.K. and how strong they expect it to be?
Usually it just hits one part of a country severely but this is a bit more manic 😬

When did the wind start, was it last Tues? I remember gusts on Weds but I can’t remember if it was windy before then... fed up of it now. I know friends who now can’t let their dogs out the back to pee on their own because the fences are down. It will be a while before everyone can fix them too.

Moved garden furniture and large plants, got torch and power bank for phone in case electric goes down, but more importantly got full supplies of wine and gin 😄. I'm ready for you red zone!

I'm slap bang in the middle of the red zone! In South Wales. Still quiet here at the moment. Calm before the storm. Stay safe Tattlers

Getting really windy here now. The map on the met office for red weather warning must just be really badly drawn because according to the map my town is in amber, but if you type my towns name it comes up as a red warning 🤷‍♀️

mentioned to my boss about being nervous to drive home if the wind gets as bad as they say it will and he laughed and said "only a bit of wind". Never mind the fact his girlfriend who works here is going home at 10;30 before the storm hits because she doesn't want to be out in it...

That's abit unfair tbh, maybe they didn't know how bad the storm up north was going to be, so they've upped the warnings down south?
They're damned if they do and damned if they don't!!
I really don't understand this north, south divide 🤷‍♀️
