Yes, this is probably what happened. Either way, it was free and he didn't pay for it so he should disclose that for transparency. Not addressing it makes it a lot worse as it's so sneaky. Disguising it using the fact she was offered it and not him and that she disclosed it on Instagram isn't good enough.

I've watched a few of his videos they are interesting but he comes across as very stingy.
I'm sure he said in the Lodge video that she's worth it (£300 per night) but it was gifted?
Also I don't want to see them in the hot tub together

I can't believe he didn't say it was gifted! Alicija has been a part of his channel for years and the last six months she's been in almost every video - how can he try and get round it by glossing over the fact it wasn't gifted to him! Cheek! His birthday is coming up soon (I only know because it's around the same time as one of my family) so wonder if he'll get any freebies.

How about for the next thread (riffing off his new channel tagline) Steve Marsh #2: Never a lie, never AI and looks like now he doesn't actually buy

He is so annoying in his latest vlog. There was a problem with the ferry but because he didn't get details he starts to look panicked and worried. What a load of crap

I have a real issue with parents who just relax and look at their phones while their kids run wild so I get that one. Get out there and play with them! My daughter knows I’d be seriously annoyed if she was disturbing other passengers by screaming etc. Screaming isn’t playing. He was generally very moany though. The ship breaking down wasn’t something predictable and it did seem disorganised but also, your job is chilling on a boat today so just get on with it! I couldn’t believe the person they gave his room removed his stuff, gave it to reception and moved in - wouldn’t any normal person go back to reception and say hi there’s clearly someone in this room you’ve assigned me can I have a new one.

The original occupant of walking in on you post-shower in just a towel is a fair punishment but still, both the guy and the teenage son didn’t once think hmm maybe we shouldn’t do this. Good job they were at least partially honest or he’d have lost the passport and cash too.

I don't know if it's a good idea showing the River swimming segment because there's been so many drownings recently.. like every year I suppose,
but I hope him showing this place doesn't encourage people to go there and try it and get into difficulty. Steve did say it's exhausting with the current so probably not the best idea to share it on YT.

I haven't watched the video but I've just googled a two night stay over a weekend in December and it's around £1.5k. Pricey, yeah, but that's a) for a weekend and b) in December, when I imagine it'd dearer. Plus that's a weekend where you have to book two nights, so you could probably do a weeknight in a different month and it be substantially cheaper. Even at £1.5k, there's no way he couldn't afford it, especially as he can surely offset the cost of some of it as a business expense?

Every time I've looked at his Patreon recently his subs have gone up - currently at 6,205 subs making $6,566pm (Alexa tells me this is £4,868pm). Yes there'll be fees/taxes etc, but still. If you can't afford it do what normal people have to and save up!
