Accepting money from enthusiastic patrons who want more content from you in order to devote yourself to generating more content for them than you could if you worked at Burgercorp Inc. 40hr/wk is lazy. Producing this general content is lazy. Producing exclusive content for the patrons is also lazy. You should just be making whatever content you can with the time you have and earning Ad Sense only for reasons that cannot be explained in this thread. You're just supposed to be satisfied with your Ad Sense revenue and stop there cuz... YT isn't a job or something.

Sounds good! I mean it would be easier if people would just say "I just kinda hate this motherfucker so I just reflexively think everything he does is corrupt bullshit even if people I like do it too and I'm fine when they do it."

I don't even especially like this guy but I support people's ability to be self employed loving what they do and ethically producing things that bring other people joy. That's where society should be going.

He would probably still be putting out content if he had no Patreons. He's blackmailing vulnerable people into thinking if they don't pay their patreon fee he will stop.

I’ve only recently started watching Steve’s channel, having discovered him via Scott of Trains Planes and Everything - who I prefer as he’s closer in age to me and seems a lot more relatable.

I have enjoyed some of Steve’s more geeky trips like the recent Norway one, however a business class flight to South America for what appears to be 3 days is ridiculous and shows scant regard to the environment.

I’m sorry he was robbed but couldn’t believe it when he said he hadn’t backed up his phone contents. That’s surely vital in his job and makes him look like an amateur. Still there’s always a bright side, he’s coining it in from all those saps sending him cash in the comments, over and above claiming a new phone on his insurance.

He's a scrounger.

Like i mean i would say i've got a good sense of humour but see remarks like this coming from him? they ain't funny. I've seen her carrying his big heavy backpack on other vlogs when he should be carrying his own as he only needs his hands to vlog with the camera, she does these crazy things to please him and then he makes a fool of her. He doesn't respect her and she just takes it and she persists to hang around him probably due to the ££££££ she ain't daft

I seen one where Alicja was carrying a big rucksack and a tent and all he had was the lightweight camera. He's lazy.

I feel the opposite, I find his solo trips very dull and prefer it with Alicja which I feel is a less common stance whereas with people like walkwithmetim I prefer him alone. We also watch bythecurb and I don’t think his partner is a popular watch either but she’s okay as long as she isn’t too pissed.

I feel like his recent solo videos are half-assed and unfocused. Having Alicja along seems to force him to plan better. Kinda depends on what you want from the videos, I think.

This year alone she's been to Tenerife for a week. Helsinki. Dublin. The Queen Mary for 8 nights then NY for a week and other places I cba lookin up. That's some amount of days off already and we're still only in September.

Ohh wow exactly that's a really good point, working full time doesn't entitle you to all them holidays per year when they all add up
