Honestly, as someone who was r*ped at 17 whilst passed out drunk at a friend's house, by 2 people I had never even met before, filmed on their mobile phone and sent round to all their mates, went to the police and reported it, they were arrested, bailed, and then all charges dropped as "no evidence" I did not consent...... this makes me extremely happy and is why I have been so invested in this case. I have been silently lurking for weeks as it resonated so much.
These men (and women) cannot get away with doing this to people, and I am just so so pleased that justice has prevailed today. For Georgia, for myself, and for any other single person who has had things done/shared without their permission.

As someone who’s had similar done to me (I knew about some of the pictures, not all, and were uploaded to a pay per view over a year after I left) and the police laughed at me and refused to investigate, I hope this case means future victims of such activity get taken more seriously by other police forces. Brilliant outcome. Hopefully a custodial is in order.
He is now, courtesy of the voyuerism charge, a convicted sex offender and required to register within 3 days

This statement from the chief of police is amazing, and too right after the disgusting uptake of unprovoked murders of women in the UK. Police need to take all reports of misogny, revenge porn, online intimidation, catcalling and violence against women as serious as can be. It's all related to rape culture. What Stephen Bear did and thought he could get away with is the result of the parenting he had and the society he grew up in, a society that has spawned other men who have done similar things to many of us in this thread. I think that's why this verdict means so much to us all. Big hugs today to anyone who has experienced anything similar to Georgia, or worse xx
