Their new house is funded by fans who have zero critical thinking skills, Hello Fresh Ads, and stealing LAMN donations. Some kid is waiting on a wheelchair in Minnesota and these talentless, greedy skanks probably upgraded their new kitchen with those donations. Hannah never seems settled; there is a restless energy to her that needs new cars, new pets, houses, vacation time shares etc- its almost as if she's trying to escape herself and her own thoughts by spreading herself thin into new projects and fixations. There is a hollowness and an abrupt on/off to her expressions that don't seem to showcase the happiness or excitement she is pretending to convey. I think she's playing the long con on this one; upgrade the house with her exacting standards, have kids to secure child support and then wait for death or divorce. I feel like a bitch saying that, but that's how I feel.

I’ll text you when I do.” How about “Hey thanks so much for sending me a gift for my birthday. It made my day when I saw the package!” Shane is too entitled to have any social grace.

Shane hadn’t seen his parents in almost 2 years? Is that weird? I don’t know. My kids live nearby so I can see them pretty frequently. Seems strange given his limited time left on the planet. Moms hug felt awkward. I’m sure it was strange for his parents to walk into the big house and tightly established little family unit that Shane, Hanna, Liz and George have created. I feel bad for them.

I feel bad for his parents as well. So somehow he can fly off to France and Poland but not to Pennsylvania to visit? He has deliberately cut out his parents and his brother who loved him, took care of him and revolved their lives around him for the majority of his life. It seems they are too much of a reminder of the truth of his situation and having regular contact with them would burst the bubble of this fantasy life that he, Hannah and Liz have created. Hannah owes Shane's family a debt of gratitude for keeping him alive for over 25 years but instead she has deliberately put a wedge between them. In fact, in one video she even bad-mouthed Shane's dad for 'deliberately waking Shane up too early every day to give him a shower even though he had no place to go.' If she's willing to say something like that on camera I can only imagine what she says when the camera is off.

That is not love and you can bet his mother, at least, sees through it all. After the birthday party is over and his family have flown back home it will be back to them being ignored. This is terrible.

I have been following this (and the previous thread) for a while. Somehow it is reassuring that there are people on the other side of the brainwashed section.

I almost finished my master degree in computer science. The only thing I can say with 99% confidence, is that they pay for bots which automatically create the positive and cheesy comments that makes everyone puke. Furthermore, when that is mixed with moderators (either paid or unpaid (assume an unpaid s&g simp)) who delete negative comments and with the comments that are posted by their cult-like fans, you get the effect of 'drowning' in just positive comments. In a way, this is a communist way of spreading a wrong message regarding a terrible disease.

For non-tech people, a giveaway is how generic the comments usually are and the lack of distinction between comments. S&G have the funds to pay for this technology, and willingly pay, since the return on investment is high: donations, sponsorships (very repetitive) and other monetary rewards.

Anyone with common sense knows that shane is not funny, cute, handsome etc. I know this is subjective. This is the business model though; giving false hope to other disabled people that they too can date pretty girls, live in mansions and reproduce. Sadly enough, only a few people realize this is not the reality for disabled people.

Understand that Hannah and co. will do anything since they are on the payroll. I figure this business they are running beats any 9-5 or any other demanding job.

I know this comment is long, but I prefer one good comment instead of a whole bunch of short ones.

Me, too. I’m also disabled - lol, I guess that means I’m also in an “inter-abled” relationship - and it would not cross my mind to tell the internet that my husband and I have sex. The amount he goes on about being a ‘macho’ man is a loud klaxon to me that none of it’s true. If it was, surely you’d focus your channel on the challenges of being disabled - e.g. “this is how we modify our life and have a living relationship, despite challenges” - rather than bragging about how much beer you supposedly drink.

I mean I see how talking about sex in an interabled relationships could be beneficial - first of all to break the stigma of it and also to educate people about it. Some people are generally curious about it so it would be nice if someone with experience told them how it works or not. It would also help actual people with disabilities who don’t have as much access to sexual education and advice as ablebodied persons. It’s super sad and it pisses me off that s&g don’t use their platform to actually educate people who legit need help and support but instead use and mock them. I can’t imagine how someone with Shane’s condition must feel when s&g constantly claim they can have “normal” sexual intercourse and they can’t. Are they doing sth wrong or s&g are simply lying? We must remember that their disabled viewers most probably already have issues with self confidence so the claims about how normal Shane’s life is - that he can have an able bodied hot gf, eat huge meals at restaurants, drink beer, travel, have a career, buy a mansion, have kids naturally is extremely detrimental to them.

I seriously wish someone finally had a look at s&g’s business cause it’s sketchy af. How come they can have a foundation to help disabled community when they take majority of the money for themselves and then buy a mansion with it. How can it be possibly legal?! I’s super grossed out by all of them.

Let's talk about this Patreon business. Through another website I have learned that Patreon subscribers have access to, and can privately request, the content creators to perform certain actions, show certain body parts, film from certain angles, etc. etc. in exchange for an extra large donation. Some are willing to pay over $1,000 per request and it is then discreetly incorporated into the content creators videos so it won't raise red flags about what they're doing.

I absolutely believe S&G are showing Shane's body to certain members of their Patreon who are into "fetish porn" in exchange for being paid extra money to do so. Why else have we seen so many videos over the years of Shane in full body shots with nothing but his boxers on? On the toilet, in the bath, in the shower. We really shouldn't know what he looks like undressed. It's none of our business and has got nothing to do with disability advocacy. If anything, it undermines it.

As for Hannah, I have long suspected that there have been Patreon requests for her to do the T and A shots as well as certain body moves. Like looking into the viewfinder to make sure she is on camera then turning her back to the camera and doing squats. Or jumping up and down in a bathing suit and - OOPS! - showing underboob. Or wearing a thong bikini and carrying Shane into the pool.

They are BOTH using their bodies for money but in different ways. Their channel feels sleazy and dishonest. No way a "family friendly channel" as they claim.

I started watching S&G when my husband was starting his SMA treatment. Unfortunately, I quickly found that are not the least bit educational and are downright dangerous to the SMA community. Their disregard for safety measures will only lead to more serious accidents like the recent ramp accident. Also, he can’t father any children while on his current treatment. And his condition is serious enough to not really allow him the luxury of pausing meds. Really a shame they don’t actually promote real educational content. Two vans but no real feature discussion that would be helpful. No update on how he is feeling on his treatment. Really a lost opportunity to actually do good.

I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt and assume the year end books are legit. They give away between $50k to say $75k a year to needy recipients. Somewhere in the last thread, the tax returns were posted and my numbers could be off. That part doesn’t matter. What matters is that what they pay themselves in salaries is obscene. It’s a fucking ruse. Medical equipment is a fortune. We all know that. So they help 2 or 3 people a year, pay themselves (all family) hefty salaries and pat themselves on the back like they’re saints changing the world.

Good grief, I thought I had seen almost everything! Never in a million years would I suspect that people would have a kink for lifting disabled people. Helping someone who lacks mobility shouldn't be objectified or sexualized. They're sick for pandering to that deranged fetish while pretending to be wholesome activists. I also never thought Patreon could have been a front for *that* side of their arrangement either, but it makes sense, especially the high cost of their top tier. Apologies to those who were offended by my description of Shane's feet. I let my dislike of him inspire my mean streak sometimes and forgot that others here may have similar physical features to him. Weren't they complaining in the last video about how they have to fight insurance to get his new wheelchair and all the parts he needs? They make it seem like the wheelchair isn't something they can afford to pay for without insurance, but yet they can afford to buy a brand new, HUGE house that probably is well over $500K. Actually, based on the kitchen I'd say even $600-$800K. That youtube money sure is paying them huh... I can't believe there is that many people donating to them for their crappy, boring vlogs, which are 1/4 ads. They barely even do anything at this point to advocate for disability. All they do is promote products, show off where there are or what they have (or Hannah), and complain about everything. Shane probably lives by the myth of big shoes=big penis. I'm more annoyed by how he doesn't have shoelaces on any of his shoes- it looks a little unkempt. If Hannah can't be bothered to tie/untie his shoes, she should get him some cool slip on sneakers like Vans that he could wear with casual outfits or some nice leather boots for dressier outfits. They both could greatly benefit from stylists.

I love this comment so much. This explains how I came to start questioning them. For me, it wasn’t the shock and awe of HER being with HIM. Although highly unusual, I’ve seen a few things similar. It was after I’d watched for awhile and their personalities came out to me and she was so weird and he was so Shane. I thought no way this can be real. Then the evidence piles up and it’s a no brainer.

Okay so I’ll admit that this newest house buying development took my dislike of these idiots to new heights. I’ve been doing a little digging and found something interesting.

Liz is more invested in these two than I ever could have imagined. I found her FB page and scrolled back 5 years. She has been pimping Shane since Nov 2016 and never stopped. Who knows the month/year they claim to have met? I’m too tired to look right now. If you look at Liz’s FB page, you will find roughly 200 posts pimping Shane and eventually Squirmy and Grubs. She was in on this from the beginning. I could only pick a couple of things to screenshot because there were so many. SO MANY.

Secondly: Do any of you find a striking similarity between the pic of Shane in front of the windows and the living room pic taken directly from realtor dot com listing of the house they just bought?
