Split trousers! Can I get a refund/replacement?

I bought some maternity jeans from Vertbaudet on 24th Oct and last night managed to split them along the crotch at the back when I bent down to put my shoes on 😮

I bought two pairs of these jeans in different colours - the blue ones are soft and well fitting, the black ones that have split where a stiffer more denim-like material, but they still fit ok so I kept them as they looked smart. I suspect the stiffness of the material has contributed to the split as I’m 27/40 and have only gained 5kg so far!! I’m wearing some non maternity trousers today!

I’d ideally like a replacement, perhaps another pair of the softer blue jeans instead as was thinking they would also do well for post partum as not expecting to imminently get back into my pre pregnancy jeans, would prefer not to have the pressure either.

I ordered them online so there is proof of purchase on my account. Do I have any rights here?

call or email their customer services and ask the question? You’ve had them for nearly 8 weeks though so I wouldn’t hold out too much hope but it doesn’t hurt to ask I guess

I’ve emailed them just now. Just thinking they’re maternity trousers so should be expected to at least last one pregnancy!
