I don't really think she should be telling people to start a YouTube channel when many will believe they will get to her level. It's not going to happen, if she had said as a hobby/for fun then yeah, whatever but young girls (who think Soph is their age probably) will think she's telling them she can get to where she is if they start a YouTube channel imo.

Of course, maybe I have just overthought it and young people won't think that and they have realistic expectations .

Becoming a YouTuber, or any kind of influencer, is all about luck in my opinion. If the algorithm picks up and pushes your content, then great, but that doesn’t happen for everyone. While I’m happy it worked for Soph, I think it very much needs to be viewed as a hobby. It’s all so saturated now you really need to stand out, Soph was lucky when she started it wasn’t such a competitive market.

I think she’s just one of those people that comes off contraception and says ‘yeaaah let’s just see how it goes’ and isn’t like 100% ready to say ‘Yes let’s go for it, let’s try!’ So then they are actually genuinely shocked (if that’s the right word because they still know there’s a chance but are also stupidly naive about it at the same time) when it happens like that

Maybe I'm a prude but when they talk about it, like about trying and actually getting pregnant, all I can think about is how they're announcing they had unprotected (although still vanilla in Sophs case ) sex. I dunno, it's weird to me . Like fine, announce it but it's when they videos talking about the how, when, why etc. maybe I am a weirdo prude but oh well.
