Some words and random observations

A thread for random things that have come up during your day but are not rants.

I’ve just looked out of my back window and my neighbour is sitting in his garden office watching a film on his laptop. He is married with two young children. He’s self employed and seems to be in there pretty much every night until at least 11pm.

😐 kinda sad...

I have a neighbour; I often see him sitting in his parked car, by the road, just after I enter the village(so maybe 500m from his own house). he sits there with the lights and sometimes the engine on. idk what he does in there.small baby getting a nap? talking to a mistress? listening to a show while a baby at home is taking a nap? no idea.

Blimey, Bonnie Tyler has died. I think I read somewhere she was ill but hadn't realised it was serious.

What a good idea for a thread.

I've just been for petrol and a man in the queue to pay let me go in front of him . He was taking his time because there was a big lorry parked underneath the canopy and it was so big it reached the top of the canopy . This man wanted to see it leave as he wasn't sure if it was stuck or if there was a fraction of clearance. We didn't know if it was delivering something or getting fuel . I almost ended up invested too .

Morrisons have a robot vacuum cleaner and it was taking itself around the store this morning.

My Morrisons has one of those. It scares me a little, I keep wondering* if their robot overlord will suddenly issue a "kill" order, and it will start rampaging through the store at a top speed of 3 mph and mowing down innocent shoppers
*I say "wondering" when I really mean "hoping" 🤭

They have a robot mower at the dog field I go to. I always imagine it coming our at night and doing perimeter checks.

Found a dead baby bird in the garden tonight so looked at the camera as it had clearly been attacked and it was two magpies what done it.

Genuinely a bit shocked though I probably shouldn't be. I just saw an argument between a taxi driver and another motorist and the motorist's parting shot was to shout 'go back to your country' at him. This was on a busy high street at lunchtime. I don't doubt it happens but I think that's the first time I've seen someone racially abuse someone else so completely openly.
