I don't think he's popular enough and he wouldn't have the mandate to govern, so you would then suddenly get lots of calls for a General election. So I think the 300-odd MP's who have backed starmer would see the pragmatic move forward would be to block Streeting. Plus his relationship with Mandy is problematicGlad things are moving now. I hope Streeting goes for it and is sufficiently backed.
