Sir Keir Starmer #3

I cringed at all the people who parroted this BS from rags like the Guardian. I did think it would take longer before even the most adamant Guardian fans to realise they'd been made a fool of.

Most have now woken up but will probably still fall for whatever line the Guardian spins next time.
In the last decade the Guardian has
- published many articles claiming women can have penises
- published articles by Seumas Milne arguing that Stalin and Kim Jong Un were/are lovely chaps ruling over countries full of peace, freedom and prosperity
- published articles claming that 'white women' use their 'tears' to subjugate Black men
- pretended that Laurie Penny, Jeremy Corbyn, David Tennant, John McDonell and numerous others are somehow reasonable people
- employs the racist misgynist bully Owen Jones

I believe the Sunday Sport over the Guardian. And I'm not just saying that for rhetorical effect: I really do believe anything I read in the Sunday Sport over anything I read in the Guardian. (If I read it, which I don't, because I don't have the cerebral cortex of a dead bullfrog.)

Careful there Moldwarp.

As a person of ethnic background, you'll be accused of being a 'sell out' and a 'traitor'.

Why?

For not towing the leftist line of all persons of ethnic background having to play the victim, and repression cards.

For not joining in the chorus of 'white privilege', or women can have penuses, or that Hamas is good, Jews are evil.

I seriously argue that the left have been the biggest tit stirrers in the last decade or so.

Continually pitting one group against another, and wrapping it up as 'diversity'.

True diversity is everyone being treated equally. Not one group being favoured over another, which is very much the leftist way.

I see Keir's acolytes are.out this morning trying to say the decisions were made on a vetting process "in place for years" so presumably will now try to blame the Tories for this too.
Whilst Mandy's current issues are way worse than anything that came before them, he resigned or was sacked at least once before due to dodginess. To my mind even if nothing had ever happened with Epstein, PM was a bad egg and couldn't be trusted back in the New Labour years. That alone should have been enough to stop him being Ambassador and we ALL knew about that stuff so there is no excuse.

If you have resigned due to improper behaviour with personal, professional or financial then I don't think you should be allowed to hold office afterwards.

Mandy's the asinine face of Tony Blair, that's why we can't get rid of him. Much like Obama has his puppets, so too does Blair.

So he really is going for the "I didn't know" defence?

WTF? How is it that he knows so little about anything, ever? Must be about the fifth scandal in his 18 months as PM that he's claimed "not to have known"?

I'm so over those supposedly running this country using ignorance and incompetence as a defence. If there's anything to answer in court he will have to come up with something else as that won't be accepted. It's not even accepted by the British public anymore. Either you're the Frank Spencer of British politics or you're an out and out liar which is bad enough without then going into the reasons for it.

If I were in charge of a government you'd beat believe I would absolutely have my fingers in every pie and I'd know everything that was important.

I expect nothing less from the leaders of our country that we have chosen to entrust with it's running. OK you can't know EVERYTHING, every little thing of minutiae, but those aren't the things we are talking about. The things he doesn't know about are always of a reasonable level of importance.
As I said earlier, everyone knew the Dark Arts Dynamo was dodgy 20+ years ago. Keir knew that even if he didn't know this (he did).

This one is worse: he was the country's most senior prosecutor. In what world would it be reasonable to take the word of someone who has lied previously in public life, and lost their job because of his deceit and greed, not once, but twice?

He was told that PM had stayed in Epstein's house whilst he was in prison. Surely he needed to get to the bottom of where this information had come from and he should have checked the veracity of the such information from the folks paid to do this: hint - not the man who's being vetted and who has more than a vested interest in lying or playing down the truth.

When he was DPP, is he seriously trying to suggest that when his department was checking the references of a potential employee, they would rely on the employee themselves? Starmer says that he asked PM three questions - why was he even asking him? He has the full security services at his disposal: if they raise red flags, why would you ignore them and take the person at his word?

And there were pictures in the public domain of PM with Epstein: two different ones with a huge birthday cake and one with Peter trying on a new belt with Epstein looking on. Nothing dodgy, but all three clearly showing a good friendship. But Starmer pretends that he was told, and believed, that PM said he barely knew him.

Blaming a mendacious liar for being a mendacious liar is, well, insulting to all of us. He made a conscious decision to sup with the devil and should be honest enough to admit that. Although, I've come to the conclusion that he actually believes his own lies.

The Left's unstable coalition of 'marginalised groups' was cobbled together in the 1980s when the UK Left comprehensively lost the working class for good. But this is where it hilariously and amusingly breaks down because a lot of the constituents of that coalition have mutually incompatible beliefs. For example when Muslim parents spent weeks protesting (and some extremist imams arrived to make death threats) at the school in Birmingham that was teaching about homosexuality. I still giggle when I recall Owen Jones's whiny hand-wringing article in the Guardian about it. it was the ultimate in Racist White Saviourism, "we've championed these little brown people and now they're refusing to follow the script, the ingrates!" Poor little Talcum X just could. not. compute.

The funniest incarnation of this, for me, is Queers for Palestine. Oh yes, Hamas simply loves 'queers' doncha know! Yeah they're fully paid up to the rainbow club, they simply adore gay people, look, they love gay people so much, they even kindly usher them to the roof of the tallest building in Gaza to show them the beautiful view!

Oh diddums, did you fall? Oopsy daisy!

You think that our blessed Prime Minister, who built his election pitch to the public on his probity, honesty and competence, should find himself disgraced by elevating to power Peter Mandelson, pedalo-adjacent bezzie mate of a known sex trafficker?

What are you, a BIGOT or something? It's not as if Kier's done something REALLY awful, like eating a piece of cake in his office during lockdown! Of course he should keep his job! He's doing so remarkably well at it, after all!

There's one email buried in the Epstein files where Epstein offers to 'set Mandelson up' with some 'friends', to which Mandelson replies, 'is the boy OK?'

Imagine if it was Dominic Cummings in place of Peter Mandelson. The whole Govt wouldve fallen by now.
IIRC Boris didn't even have any of the birthday cake!

Edited to add:

In his memoir, published in September 2024, Johnson stated regarding the event: "I saw no cake. I ate no blooming cake".

Really? That's sad man. If I was gonna be unceremoniously booted from my job after enjoying a little birthday party in my office where I'd been working 20 hour days and recovering from a virus that nearly killed me, I'd damn sure want a big bit of Colin. The face bit, in fact. And one of the feet.

...and if you don't know everything you employ people who know about their area...but then you need to listen to their advice!

Rishi got fined for attending the meeting where Carrie turned up with the cake as a surprise.

Simpler times.

I think they each got slapped with a £50 fine, inc Carrie, and Boris said he'd been "ambushed by cake" which became a meme.

I bet Starmer is wishing he could swap places with Boris!

Although people remember the cake more, wasn't it pincher that did Boris in?

I think they all turned a blind eye as it was deemed more acceptable to have a "handsy" gay man.

It was a culmination of things, that being one.

The Pincher appointment was another case of the Starmer excuse of "I didn't know", "I wasn't aware"....

Surely, SURELY, the Labour Party wouldn't be stupid enough to vote in Ms Rayner as PM?
The public have long memories and her resignation is very fresh. Yet again I say - if you have resigned from public office due to fraud or dubious shenanigans, you should not be back in a frontline role/any significant role again. Especially NOT Prime Minister and NOT less than a year since resignation.

Plus that wasn't even her first 'offence' at playing at the edges of truth/good conduct.

CakeGate" was a more palatable reason to bemoan Boris' completely unjust defenestration. The Tory Faithful chose to turn a blind eye to the real reasons. Should have gone to Specsavers..

You jest surely? 😆

Big Ange hasn't even got her ducks in a row to sort out the tax issues. If she was even semi competent she'd of fast tracked getting that resolved so she was waiting in the wings for the next scandal to bring down Keir.
