Cleo has been sleeping on my back, she actively waits until I fall asleep and creeps on me. It's like having a hippo there, the pain i wake up is and then she refuses to get off me

It's so hot here atm, it got to almost 43 today. Just now I opened the freezer door and Thor lay in front of of it, refusing to move.
I had to pick him up off the floor and move him to the bedroom, where the aircon is. I feel bad for them but we do what we can to keep them cool.

Her full name is Meredith which gets used when she's naughty otherwise she's known as Merry. She was already Meredith when we adopted her and her brother Loki . Apparently when they were rescued from the cat sanctuary as kittens (we took them on at 3 years old because their owner had become severely allergic to them) Meredith was picked first and named for Meredith in Grey's Anatomy however the partner refused to call Loki after Derek I think, Merediths love interest in Greys Anatomy,? so Loki it was. I saw this reel today and panicking a bit as both my cats do this sometimes, one has done this for years but rarely, a few times a year. But ny other cat recently did that about 3 times in the last month

When I used to use cheap cat litter from Aldi my kitten used to cough from the dust. Went to cat San and never since. Thank you. I've always used wood pellets which i guess do get quite dusty but it doesn't seem to happen close to litter visits

When my cats cough I hold their head up so the neck is exposed and stroke the throat area gently from chin to chest a few times.

I have to break down any food I give cleo, she once got some chicken stuck in her mouth and I was terrified. She started pawing at her mouth and gagging, it came out but I was trying not to panic. I've seen people giving their cats whole pieces cooked chicken and it gives me the fear.
