I have a small Christmas tree that cleo can't climb, I always remember me and my sister decorating a tree when we were younger and my mums cat came flying in just as we finished and sent the whole thing toppling over. We were not happy.

Every year, my cat picks a single bauble that becomes her mortal enemy. She will wait till there are humans present in the room but deemed to be paying her insufficient attention and will take that moment to attack it. I know I’m tempting fate here but we’ve never come back to the house to find the bauble off the tree or any damage etc. so she clearly leaves it alone the rest of the time.

The things we do for our cats.....but happy second birthday to my girl. So much has happened in the past year and she's been my absolute rock. Her hat and bib aren't here yet but when they do I'll get more photos!

Maybe she doesn't like the bowl, are the sides too high on it? You could try just putting little bit of dry food on a plate to test her with that?
Normal in my house! I bought a couple of those plastic trays, like the ones you get at fast food places and they at least keep most of the food contained.
I got them from KMart but I guess there's be something similar where you are? They're really cheap but save me a lot of sweeping up.
My dog isn't allowed upstairs as she stresses the cats out since they don't get on so it's a cat only area. I sometimes allow her upstairs to clean up their crumbs they've left around their food bowls. She can't get into their bowls and they are microchip bowls so can't eat their actual food

I use dog bowls for Jimmy as he kept overturning the dinky cat ones.
No issues since and he seems to prefer them as they stay put when he's got his head stuck in there hoovering up the last bit.
