Yeah, we’re super lucky because you’re right, it isn’t good for cats just like dogs, but it’s the one food we can safely let her sniff (when she hears the rustle of packaging, she’s over to see what it is!) without her licking it or taking a bite. Phew!
Everything else is pretty much a risk. She loves bread products, loves ham, loves cheese, loves cream, loves milk, has been known to get a bit too close to biscuits and cakes even though sugary stuff is something cats can’t taste, apparently. I’m assuming she thinks it’s sort of bread-like. Oh, she loves crisps as well. Obviously loves real meat, if we have a roast dinner she goes ballistic. She will swipe at chips, rice and pasta on a plate. We don’t -actually- feed her any of this stuff, she’s just a wild one who will have a go at most things! I’m beginning to see why she has IBD
