Most christenings take place during Sunday service in England now a days but traditional Catholic's believe Monday & Tuesday are strongly aligned with angels. Tuesday is a day of strength & healing, I doubt Shannon has strong faith though

Of course the most Irish of Irish Travellers is going to have the strongest faith of all Catholics and choose the day that aligns best with the angels
All mine were christened on a Saturday evening before mass and there were more than ourselves too. I didn't mind it, had a few back to the house for a bit of cake and a cup of tea. I don't get the whole session afterwards especially with something to do with kids, there's no need for it imho. A bit like going on the beer for a kids birthday party, yuck.
