Did anyone watch that programme last night about Rose West and Myra Hindley? It was about the friendship they formed whilst they were in the same prison.

God, the worst people to end up pairing together, both child killers. 😢 😱

what channel was this on? I might give it a watch.
they should have never been allowed to be around each other, both so evil and they probably got thrills from that.

The Jeremy Bamber case fascinates me. I believe him to be guilty as charged but the evidence is circumstantial. I’ve read extensively about the case and seen many of the documents and crime scene photos. I’m as certain as I can be that Jeremy is guilty but because Essex Police mucked up the initial investigation he nearly got away with it. I’d like to think the investigation would be managed completely differently today,

The Rettendon Murders are also interesting. Pat Tate was on my friend’s hospital ward a short while before he died, the evil fucker had a gun hidden on him which he planned (allegedly) to use on someone he’d invited to visit him. My friend (a ward sister) found out about the gun and notified the police who removed him before any plan could be carried out. He made verbal threats to her as he left....scumbag.
Evil bloody monster and no loss to society.

As a nurse (at the time) the other case which blows my mind is Beverley Allitt, it just seemed unbelievable that a nurse could endanger and kill children in thee way she did. I gather she’s admitted her guilt now but it still shocks me that a nurse could do such a thing.

Love reading about serial killers, have fallen down many an internet black hole. I'm not sure saying 'favourite' is right but the serial killers I have been most interested in are John Wayne Gacy, the 'Monster of Florence' and also groups like Murder Inc (love reading about the mob) and the Ripper Crew.

I also like unsolved murders, like the Black Dahlia.

Love this thread!
huge interest in murders... recently I’ve gone from watching documentaries to confession interviews.
chris watts was my recent watch (Guy kills pregnant wife and 2 kids in Colorado), absolute stone cold, vile man. The body cam footage of the initial police call out, wife’s friends getting involved, his neighbours Ring camera catching him moving the bodies and his behaviour change/getting caught was fascinating to watch!
I think it’s called “how police caught Chris watts” on YouTube.
Three hours today watching this! 😂😂
But thanks for sharing
Watched the trial on YouTube and all the ring footage and police cam!
To say he is not a monster is disgusting!!

I think it’s only his mother who says he’s not a monster. Everyone else sees him as he is.

the really sad thing is that Shanann could not have predicted his actions, he really was hiding in plain sight.

Is he still sticking with the story that she killed the children and so he killed her?

No he confessed to killing them. He said one girl watched him kill her sister then ask if he was going to do the same to her. Unbelievable that people like that walk amongst us, he’s the definition of a monster. Still hasn’t shown any remorse from what I can gather.

Me too. I have no words for how cold that "man" is to do that to his family. It seems to me he got a taste of 'freedom' while they were away and in his twisted, selfish brain decided he could get away with it all and live a new life scot-free. Thank god for her friend raising the alarm so early! I couldn't believe his mum forgiving him either.

Not serial killer as such but for anyone with a morbid fascination I recommend ‘active shooter’ - it’s on NOWTV May be on YouTube.
I’ve been obsessed with serial killers since I was about 8 years old and found my uncles true crime magazines, they also lived just by Cranley Gardens where Dennis Nielsen had been so I’m pretty unfazed at this stage.
‘Active shooter’ is frankly bleeping horrific. It’s Fascinating and a good reminder that these are real people with real victims and it’s not about entertainment or curiosity but understanding (or not) the human condition. I recommend the one in the Pulse Nightclub shootings particularly.

That said, and I guess it is for entertainment, Casefile podcast is excellent. The Moors murders one is very comprehensive. ‘They walk among us’ is good too for more UK based cases.
