Serial Killers?

Not serial killer as such but for anyone with a morbid fascination I recommend ‘active shooter’ - it’s on NOWTV May be on YouTube.
I’ve been obsessed with serial killers since I was about 8 years old and found my uncles true crime magazines, they also lived just by Cranley Gardens where Dennis Nielsen had been so I’m pretty unfazed at this stage.
‘Active shooter’ is frankly bleeping horrific. It’s Fascinating and a good reminder that these are real people with real victims and it’s not about entertainment or curiosity but understanding (or not) the human condition. I recommend the one in the Pulse Nightclub shootings particularly.

That said, and I guess it is for entertainment, Casefile podcast is excellent. The Moors murders one is very comprehensive. ‘They walk among us’ is good too for more UK based cases.
Where can I watch active shooter please?

It’s on sky documentaries In the UK, I watched it on NOWTV but sky may have a catch up service. Looks like in America it’s a ‘showtime’ show, available on amazon through that.
“Active Shooter: America under fire” is the full name of the series

One that creeps me out is the Long Island Serial Killer.

I remember reading a "Creepiest thing that happened to you" thread on Reddit, and someone wrote a story of when he and his friends were drunk and walking along Long Island beach in the dark, and they walked past man hauling a large bag or something covered in tarpaulin, the same length as a human body. Not sure how true that was, but it gave me the heebie-jeebies. Especially as I read it at about 1/2am.

Ohhh love this thread!!
Just finished the Chris watts documentary last night, I’ve listened to a lot of podcasts on it so knew all the info and it still brought me to tears, disgusting man.

i think i first realised I had an interest in serial killers when we had an assembly at school with Richard McCann, he was the son of one of the Yorkshire rippers victims. My boyfriend ended up living in a uni flat on the same street as one of the attacks of the Yorkshire ripper too, he wasn’t impressed when I told him!!

Oh yeahh this thread!! hahaha, I was so edgy as a kid, my mum got me a book on serial killers instead of an easter egg one year as I don;t really like chocolate 😅

David Parker Ray (toy box killer) fascinates me, the audio recordings are particularly eerie to listen to.

BTK killer Dennis Rader is another serial killer who interests me, and to think he was caught because of data on a floppy disk linking back to him. I think the case was cold for 10+ years and he tried to stir some interest up within the media by sending them notes which they were able to trace back to him.
