I understand your point, but shops don't have a 'make an offer' button. Vinted and Ebay do. So, offers are expected.
And, I've had sellers say they hadn't seen messages and offers.
Yes,I know that but doesn't mean a seller agrees with that, unfortunately theirs no option to turn it off. There should be,it saves a lot of hassle. And yes unfortunately they are expected in literally everything you list 😂

I hateee when buyers do this. They offered £18 on a £30 item, so I politely declined. I know there’s a chance they could be genuine, but it just feels like guilt tripping.

Now I worry they’ll buy it anyway and claim there’s an issue to get a refund. Should I just block them? But there’s part of me that feels bad if this child is real? duck sake 😭

I’ll be honest the sob story and broken English would put me off incase it’s a scammer.

For the first time I’ve had a buyer not collect an item so it was sent back to me. Apparently they tried to deliver Saturday, well nobody came to my door so clearly not. InPost said they’d try yesterday, nope. The tracking shows it’s gone all the way back to the buyers area and then back down near me and at local depot for delivery since 8pm Sunday. I’m assuming that will be another lost parcel!

In good news the other one that went missing has been refunded to me and the buyer. The buyer has told them it’s literally sat at the shop but they are saying it’s lost rather than doing anything about it 🙄

They won't buy it for full price,so I wouldn't worry. If they do cancel it,as it's absolutely what they will do.

Yeah you’re right! Usually I’d block them, don’t know why I even considered it. I’m not Santa Claus, need to be more like Scrooge 😅

That’s true! The problem with eBay is they can still leave negative feedback if you cancel. And eBay monitors how many cancellations you make each month (unless the buyer agreed to cancel).

I’m used to blocking/cancelling all the time on Vinted but you don’t usually get these beggy buyers on eBay.

Why does them having a disabled son mean the item should cost less? You’re not a charity. They made an offer and you declined it which you’re entitled to do. Honestly I would block and not give it a second thought.

That's so true in regards eBay. My partner sells a lot on there he hates Vinted for selling. He always gets good prices and never has any problems with buyers or payments,it's a real shame what Vinted has turned into tbh.
P s I didn't realise it was eBay you were selling on sorry,I don't know how their feedback works etc.

You’re 100% right. I think this time of year is turning me into a soft soggy biscuit 😅

Well Sandyclaws himself has spoken. Consider them blocked! 🚫

Hey all, I sold on Vinted for the first time last week. Packaged it up and sent it within 24 hours. I received notification that the package was ready for the buyer to collect last Thursday, but they still haven't collected it. I sent them a message to check if they had received a notification to collect but they haven't answered me and still haven't collected.

Is this something that usually happens? I'm guessing (hoping) it will eventually be returned but I feel a tad confused as to why they would buy if they didn't intend to collect.

Yes it does happen sometimes unfortunately. It's anyone's guess why they do it ? I think sometimes they just change their mind,it's annoying and disappointing being your first salem

Vinted problem…just been informed by InPost that my purchase has been ‘delivery refused’ by the pick up point! Anyone have any idea what happens now? It was an item I have been searching for for months too😢
*Sigh*

Called into the parcel shop today to be told that they ended their contract with InPost & Yodel a month ago. They are still showing as being live & operational on the InPost & Yodel Apps!!! Surely it cannot be a huge task to remove their details from the websites and apps when contracts end? This parcel shop used to be very, very busy, (student area), so they must be refusing dozens & dozens of parcels every day? You would have thought the delivery drivers would be fed up of this and reported it by now.....

*shakes head*
