Another " What's the material composition" if I don't state it it or picture it there isn't one usually. I don't mind as I only buy cotton but if you're going to ask, make sure your own listings tell me !

Sorry this is about selling on CEX but I didnt know where to post it! My daughter bought some Apple headphones 2 years ago from CEX online. She no longer needs them so has decided to sell them back via CEX. Apparently she sent the headphones off to them as requested in the original box etc. They have emailed her today saying that they (CEX) have decided to recycle them because there is an issue with the serial number so she wont be getting an payment for them and her account is now being monitored and flagged for fraud! So she will not receive any payment and has lost a pair of headphones worth £150. Obviously she is devastated, she is a student trying to make ends meet and is absolutely distraught. Any advice? She cant get hold of anyone at CEX

That is disgraceful. Did she order them online or did she go into the shop to purchase them?
If she ordered it online then you’ve got something auditable to prove that’s where she purchased them from.
I would write to the CEO to say that if they believe she has sold them [back to them] fraudulently then they were actually fraudulently sold to her in the first place.
What I don’t like about these companies that buy from you, and I’ve had similar issues with musicMagpie, is they will claim that something is not in good condition or that they didn’t receive it, and tell you they owe you nothing or in my case just deduct the amount the owed me from my overall payment, and they will probably go onto sell your things and there is not a thing you can do about it. It’s unethical to not return something or provide any evidence the item submitted is substandard.
Also, leave them a harsh review on Trustpilot. Most outlets worth their salt monitor reviews on there, and will reply to you publicly, asking you to confirm your details and get in touch.

@happygirly

I've sold a few things to CEX via post before and when filling out the forms online, you have to answer this question:

I would double check your daughter didn't accidentally agree to it first.

Then, go for a formal complaint, highlighting that you purchased the item from CEX and include a copy of the purchase email. Ask for proof that your daughter confirmed she wanted it recycled. If they can't provide that, then you should have a clear case. Good luck!

Someone's just made an offer of £5 over the price I have listed if I reserve it for them for Tuesday...

Obviously I accepted, but let's see if they actually end up buying it

That's ridiculous, what do they want you to do, open and expect your clothes at the inPost locker or in the middle of the corner shop

Pissing myself laughing at someone who’s just uploaded a read paperback for £12. It’s £8.49 on Amazon, so why the fuck would anyone pay you £12 plus p&p? Delulu.

No one can accuse me of NOT being petty:

Their [40% off] offer on my thing:

My [40% off] offer on their thing:

I’m sure they won’t be offended. It’s just a humble £12 off discount.

Started getting posts from this group showing up in my feed, it's usually when the post has got a load of traffic because the person (buyer or seller) who posted is getting absolutely dragged in the comments

"Then one shouldn't be buying glowing cubes" has done me in
