I think, if the blind items are to be believed, her substance and alcohol abuse would have been toxic as fuck. Coupled with Justin's own addiction issues. He very likely knew that no matter how much he loved her at one stage, they were terrible for each other. She would have kept welcoming him back with open arms if he hadn't moved on and god knows where they'd both be at now if he hadn't. I believe Hailey and Justin are the real deal while I know many do not. He's the most stable he's been for years in his personal life by all accounts and he seems to want to stay largely out of the spotlight. Selena does not and never will.

Also, people like selena who make a career out of being a mental health sufferer and a victim are glamorising mental illness and I cant be told otherwise. My 13 year old daughter thinks it's bloody cool to be mentally ill because of people like her in the public eye making a dime off of their trauma.

I thought the documentary was poorly done— not Selena’s fault but the director’s. It seemed to be going somewhere at first and then the second half just fell off.

I can sympathize with a lot of what she goes through but also there is so much about her life that likely keeps her in a bad place. She needs more independence and structure and to learn self responsibility. I say that while recognizing some of the same issues in her that I myself have dealt with.
That’s why it made me cringe to see the way she is coddled… being woken up in bed and fed breakfast and having a friend sleeping next to you all the time and the whole room falling silent to hear any complaint she has and all the codependency, it’s bad for her! I know she feels that sort of thing is helpful because it’s comforting but it’s not.

Even little things like just setting her own alarm and getting herself up and having some sort of her own morning routine. This is why celebs get stuck at the age they became famous— she doesn’t act like a grown woman and then wonders why she feels inferior and incapable. I also think that at some point she does need to grow up and decide what she wants to do, and if she chooses the entertainment industry then that means she needs to stop acting as though it’s been put on her and she hates it all.
That said, I do like Selena more in the last few years because I do think she is someone who has found a purpose and actually follows through. But I feel bad that she is being enabled in some ways that prevent her from really growing.

How can anybody be attracted to him. And I don’t mean this in a shallow way because it’s not just his looks but even his personality isn’t great. He seems really immature judging by the videos on his instagram and he’s one of those really annoying people who think they’re funny when they’re simply not. This sounds mean but I can’t help but think Selena has really low self esteem, probably due to how drastically her appearance has changed in the last year (which she can’t help, I know). I don’t think she would have looked his way a few years ago.

Selena never specified music industry. She clearly meant entertainment industry / hollywood generally -and Francia is in the industry. She is an actress, has been for years in a few TV shows as a main cast member quite successfully now. Might not be A-List but she is in the acting industry and I think she probably has deep regrets about giving her kidney to Selena now.

I think I might be in the minority here but I had to turn off the documentary halfway through as I thought she came across really badly and the whole thing was infuriating me.

I completely understand that being in the public eye for so many can be mentally destructive and how important it is to show those issues, but I found it very draining the way she was complaining about every little part of her job, from the tour to the press and everything else! I might get backlash for posting this but I watching it I honestly thought… ok this industry is clearly taking a massive toll on you. So maybe it’s not the right industry for you? The girl has millions to her name, maybe it’s time to take a step back and prioritise her mental health as she clearly cannot stand the strain.

She seems like a nice girl but I thought the documentary did her no favours.

I hate it when people do a big 'I'm leaving social media' announcement and then come back on 24 hours later. I've really started to dislike Selena over all of this. She desperately needs to move on. I agree that she is always the victim. Hailey got dragged in the comments section of her birthday post for Justin, people need to just accept they are married and drop it!

The leaving social media announcement and then comes back the next day was very attention seeking I don’t know what’s going on with her she must be bored and unhappy in her life cause no other 30 year old would behave how she does. Yeah they’re married whether people like them or not the fact is they are married and Selena is just making herself look like she can’t move on. I just know this won’t be the end of this though I feel like there will always be new drama about those 3 and part of me thinks selena wants people to talk about her and Justin which is immature.

Selena is very passive aggressive. I like her but i can’t help feel she’s secretly enjoying all the hate Hailey is getting hence why she’s not prepared to explicitly call out the people in attack mode on her behalf (some of whom she follows) and instead puts out a hollow “please be kind” statement in its place.

I don’t care what anyone thinks of Hailey (personally i’m indifferent to her) but you can’t deny the amount of hate and harassment she’s received in the past few weeks has been vile.

Regardless of that she still doesn’t deserve to be getting called ugly every few seconds on tiktok. I don’t pitty her for the relationship she’s in but no matter what kind of person she is no one deserves to be dog piled over something that is still purely based on speculation and people thinking they’re oh so smart tiktok detectives.
Selena is the oldest of all of them, she easily could defuse a lot of this but is just sitting back playing the victim and letting the follower count and praise increase. She’s no angel.

I genuinely think she should remove herself from the show business and solely focus on Rare Beauty & philanthropy/awareness. She’s getting more and more insecure as time goes by and is plastering nonsense all over social media as a result. She’s got something good going on with her make-up brand, she can easily stop acting and still make tons of money.

Apart from Rihanna, very few celebrities have managed to build a solid and sustainable makeup or beauty line. She honestly needs to get it together.
