Isn’t the ‘algorithm messing up’ thing what every influencer says when they start to become irrelevant?

Love it when influencers say stuff like ‘I felt like I was filming because I had to, not because I wanted to’ .. yeah.. welcome to life love, the majority of adult life is doing stuff you’d rather not do, but doing it anyway because you have to. I also cba with influencers going online moaning about social media and how social media is bad for their mental health etc, your job is social media, if you don’t like it, choose a different job, and also, one of the reasons social media is bad for peoples mental health is literally because of influencers! Sarah goes on 10 holidays a year and shows it all off on Instagram and then complains that social media is bad for mental health.. clearly Sarah only cares about Sarah’s mental health. Honestly influencers talk to us peasants like they’re doing us some sort of favour by posting and ‘creating content’ some people do create good content that I enjoy and find useful, but some of them, like Sarah, just seem to post photos of themselves and their normal life, they aren’t doing it for us they do it for themselves and are just lucky enough to make loads of money from it. Does Sarah really think seeing photos of her in bikinis or walking around London is meaningful to anybody other than herself?
Then she says shit like ‘Iv spent 9 years building an amazing community of people who follow me, and it’s just shit that an app like Instagram can come along and ruin it and change the user experience’ mate.. you’d be nothing without Instagram, Instagram can do whatever the hell they want.

The whole video tbh sounded like she was trying to convince herself that it’s the algorithm that is making her less popular now rather than maybe she’s just not as relevant as she was.

It happens all the time! it's crazy! These guys say "oh i'm not ready to commit" and next minute they've moved in with a new girl they met at the gym or at a bar one night, get engaged, get married/or get pregnant. It's some kind of commitment disorder. Meanwhile they wasted 5 of our child bearing years, and we're left to pick the pieces of a failed romantic partnership investment. (which is so much harder as a woman when the clock is ticking - whether you want a family or not, sometimes you don't know until it's too late anyway but you take the risk).

I have never known of any man who’s married or been in a long term relationship just leave to be on there own. There’s always been either another woman or they’ve had their eye on another woman and want to make themselves available.
I’m mid 40s and had and seen my fair share of relationship break ups and divorces, and can honestly say any man that blindsides a woman like that, has been in a ‘new’ relationship within a couple of months after. I really hope for Sarah’s sake this isn’t the case as it will break her heart even more and no one deserves that, especially when you’ve given your all to someone. But I really wouldn’t be shocked if ‘starts’ dating someone new very quickly.
yes you’re right. men usually have someone else involved hence why a relationship ends, and even if they don’t, they have their fun for x amount of months as they’re unable to just be on their own and then realise the implications of what they’ve done. women are the opposite, which is initially why it’s harder but then they usually see they were better off

I just watched the teaser of the podcast she appeared in. she said that she went into debt to save SLA, but she also said that she is currently hardly working. this doesn't add up for me. when you've gone into debt, you want to do everything you can to pay off that debt quickly, no?
I watched the full thing. Here’s my breakdown if you cba to waste an hour and 10 mins:

She also claimed she paid her staff out of her own personal money and ended up in personal debt. This was around mid of 2024. Yet she was still holidaying and eating out etc. she stated a debt collector wanted £50,000 at around Xmas time 2024.

it was a fairly interesting watch tbf, she admitted she had no clue on how to run a business and fair play for her admitting that.

The whole thing is about an hour and 10 mins long and I’ll be honest it was quite repeated. Also the host really annoyed the fuck out of me. Like she talks about herself ALOT! I’m not hear to listen to you, I’m here to listen to Sarah. But yeah it is quite repetitive

She claims Joe would have been useless if they’d stayed together during the business downfall. She has nothing nice to say about him at all 😂

she talks about liquidation costs and states it cost £12,000 to liquidate the company so customers got refunds. She claims she paid this out of her own pocket. It’s weird thou considering people have complained on here that they’ve never received a refund

She claims she never paid herself a salary from SLA as well which seems a bit odd.

she stated she would be open to run another business as long as someone did it with her. Almost felt like her way of putting herself out there for potential investors or business partners.

She also stated she will be looking at going to therapy to go through her trauma. Tbh I think what she said here was a good point, she’s come out the end now so this would be a good place to start with it so I can understand why she’d want to do that now

overall it was a fairly interesting watch but it could have been done in about 20 minutes. The whole thing was very repetitive and the host was irritating. Sarah actually came across quite likeable. She kept saying how she cares more about how her life feels over how it looks and in some ways I hope she sticks to that, I think your whole adult life being in the social media spotlight must take its toll, she does seem a lot more at peace which was quite nice to see

I agree she is one of the more authentic ones, or at least she has become more authentic since the break up. There was a definite period of the same old shite with Joe and her content was pretty boring to be fair but as ironic as it is, her content is way more interesting now she’s been dumped and her business is in crisis - and I don’t mean that in a horrible way at all, I just mean it’s so more more authentic since she had a mentyB last year

i SO feel for her, because we both were going through a long term relationship break up pretty much at the same time, only i was getting divorced. anyway, seeing this now... i am convinced, that i'll be seeing same thing with my ex soon enough, so i can only imagine how she feels..

Well I was wrong. I’m sorry for her because she saw a future with him but he was giving hella weird vibes and I didn’t like who she became around him, she put him on a pedestal as if she saw herself as less than and would always seek reassurance from him.

I hope that she takes the time to heal and surrounds herself with those that love her and we hopefully once again we get to see the Sarah that we all loved.

Really dumb that in the latest vlog she’s out driving the gifted G Wagon, admitting she’s so hung over from a bottomless brunch and playing voice notes from her friends saying they have no memory after 7pm. How many times over the legal limit would she have been, if she’d got pulled over driving to her parents for that roast lunch? No-one in their right mind would post that on their own socials, let alone an influencer gifted a car. I hope the company see it!!

I think her video was classy. It’s clear she is still so very heartbroken and has a lot of love still for him.
I’ve been in her exact position before and it’s absolutely hell. I almost wish my partner at the time had cheated and then I could accept it more and almost hate him.
I think his job has had a massive part to play, maybe he is just the type that doesn’t want to settle down and get married etc - and that’s ok. I also think men hit a certain age and panic. Maybe he’ll regret it. Who knows.
I really like Sarah, she has helped so many people throughout her breakup it’s rare ‘influencers’ share so much. I wish her well
Her video changed my mind on her ALOT. I was never the hugest fan. But I found her very mature in her video yet refreshingly honest and I respect that she’s been so candid. as opposed to the usual fake toxic positivity shit. a lot of the things she said I found myself thinking that’s exactly how I think/would think too. it REALLY changed my mind on Sarah lol and I really do feel for her especially when 2 months is nothing when you’re grieving.

The customer service is probably Sarah and she's likely overwhelmed at the moment. Hang tight, I'm sure it will eventually be processed, she doesn't strike me as the type to rip people off (I mean could be wrong).

I also feel bad for her, but it happens to all of us - the bad break-ups, the loss of jobs/incomes etc - I just lost a job, and I could be all sad and mopey, or I could just soldier on knowing something else is around the corner. I hope Sarah takes the time between SLA ending and not being in a relationship, to evaluate her own life and what she wants for herself. If she really really wanted SLA to succeed and continue, the 2024 issues wouldn't have become a blocker or eventuated in closing the label down. She would have worked even harder to have it succeed. I think this season of her life is just over, the brand likely reminded her of Joe a lot given when she started and when they got together so her fight to keep it alive also diminished.
Legit, hate this comment. Work harder to succeed was exact comment I got then i left a well respected company and high managerial position, because i was bullied and destroyed mentally. I should have handled things better, i should have stayed and succeeded by working harder was what i heard and it’s insane someone has the odasity to even comment like that. You don’t know half of the situation so get of your damn high horse. Sometimes things just don’t work out and that’s fine. And people who said even remotely similar things to me have been left behind too.

She’s given her dogs away to her parents? Why? Surely after breaking up having dogs would give you more company and would help, she also works for herself so could easily take her tiny dogs into the office with her. I don’t understand people who can just give their animals away like that - even if it’s to family members, baffling.

Another pathetic influencer who clearly bought the dogs because they are aesthetically pleasing, then once bored they palm them off to someone else!!! 😡😡😡

I really enjoyed Sarah's candidness, though you could sense the bitter vibes through the screen - i don't blame her though, she is/was obviously so hurt. BUT the fact she gave her dogs away, and said if she was single she wouldn't have got dogs, is crazy to me. I'm a single person with 2 dogs, I still have a life, work, whatever. Only a lazy selfish human would give away their dogs because they broke up with someone especially when she could afford a dog sitter when she travelled and they're small dogs! just lazy and selfish and I think the action really showed that side of her.

I think the two things can be true at the same time. Break ups happen every day, businesses fold all the time, and a person going through those things can find them horrific to process and struggle to recover from, especially if they tied up a lot of their identity, their imagined future and their self worth in their business or their relationship.

Sarah is definitely one of those girls who forgets her friends in a relationship then jumps on every trip or activity once single.

I forgot to screenshot it but I noticed she’d liked a Instagram post about a week ago that I would say is a break up/I don’t need a man vibe.

I’ve also noticed she hasn’t had her Joe necklace on in recent pics.

Maybe I’m wrong but I wonder if that’s also contributing to the weight loss.
