I absolutely agree. I don’t know if anyone saw the article (hit piece) the DM did on Bridget Fonda and how she looks now, it was an appalling misogynistic piece of so called journalism. Also putting up pics of her when she was in Single White Female from 1992 as if to say “well, look at her now” as if no one changes a jot in 30 years. It really got my backup. It ducks me off no end that women are degraded and mocked by the media for anything like this. They may not use the word large in articles but they’ll skate around that word with fake adoration while mocking their size or weight gain. See articles on Pierce Brosnan’s wife as an example. She’s patronised so much for her weight gain since marrying him. Yet she is such a beautiful woman. Journalists and interviewers have actually used her weight gain in interviews he’s given. It’s so rude.
Sam Smith is obviously not right in the head. For whatever reasons he’s not thinking straight. No one is guiding him. Yet the media don’t/won’t say it. Compare this photo to the ones of Britney dancing half naked and they’ll mention the contracts put in place from the head shaving days. Implying she needs to be put back in that situation. They’ll take sides and pay her ex to talk tit about her & basically try their hardest to bring her down. In fact they won’t ever leave her alone. I’ve always thought they won’t rest with her until she does something to harm herself.
Some of you may not agree but I still see it as men being treated so differently to women. Always given special treatment. Always allowed to behave a certain way with no consequences for it.
