RTB - Delay

Hi all just hoping someone can help, I put in my RTB application 4 weeks ago this Friday and my council are useless and have not responded to my chase’s regarding it. I sent it recorded delivery which says delivered, but I read legally they have 4 weeks to respond…so if I don’t hear back Friday then what do I do?
I did read I could request a further discount is that right? Tia xx

I work in conveyancing and councils are notoriously slow in dealing with RTB. They're an absolute nightmare. I don't know about a further discount but I think you just have to be really persistent in chasing.
