It's still not being taken seriously by the police. She's had a handful of run ins with the law previously and still only got three months. With good behaviour she will be out probably in the middle of May, whilst he will remember the moment for a long time to come.

I was a victim of revenge porn and it was horrendous. Ruined my life for a good few years before I met my current partner who changed my life. It is the most horrendous crime :’(
So sorry to read that. It's good that a law was brought in for revenge porn, but the sentences are still far too small.
Saw a program about it a few months ago - think it was a woman from one of the reality shows. She had it done to her twice. Must have horribly devastating consequences.
I also was a victim of revenge porn. He continually accessed my social media, emails anything you can think of. It ruined my life completely. I lost all my family, friends. Was humiliating. It happened just before I turned 18. Can you believe everyone was on the mans side. I’ll never forget.
Now I’m ok but I tell you I wanted to die at the time. The police got involved but it was very bad snow so they could not come out to see me for days.
It made me who I am today but I have severe trust issues.
Those who do it should suffer as the impact it has on yourself is beyond damaging.
There was no sentencing back then. But they raided his home and arrested him in his work place. Whilst they arrested him I was beyond terrified.

I can't help but feel like the name revenge porn is not strong enough, its impact is huge and I can't imagine what you went through. I think calling it that undermines the size of the crime due to its impact (not sure if that makes any sense?!). X
