He was ok with others dying. He had to be ok with the same applied to him. Don’t let yourself be fooled-he didn’t care about you or your values. Dont apply them to him.

So sad. The last I heard of Ricky he was making a boxing comeback and with Claire Sweeney. He had been so open about addiction and mental health problems and was expected to be at the Etihad today to support his beloved Man City. Whatever happened at the very end, he was a fantastic sportsman, popular and his honesty helped a lot of people.

You are correct re the method. I have also heard this through a mutual friend who is a boxer.

I was so sad to hear of his passing. Ricky was such a lovely guy. Met him a few times, always happy to pose for photos and just a great laugh. I always used to wonder how his constant cycles of bingeing and then purging for a fight would affect him mentally (not purging exactly but I couldn't think of a better word). It must have taken quite the toll. He was always with his family whenever I saw him, but then they had a falling out, which can't have helped. He must have been very lonely. The tears of a clown indeed

a sad loss for his family, wife, children, friends i’m sure. but i’m not going to pretend that he was some sort of freedom of speech advocate when he only did that on his terms and when it correlated with his own awful views. he was literally shot in the middle of talking down america’s gun violence, which he always treated a mild annoyance, so (as said above) i guess he did die for what he believed in.
