The loss of Angie Stone really is a blow to music (as well as a tragedy for her loved ones of course).

This is such a beautiful uplifting anthem for black men.

And this just captures the feeling of heartbreak so well, I know I wasn’t the only one who was helped by this song!
And the use of the O’Jays sample is just perfection ❤

Rest in power queen 🕊

"Carried by rodents." How the heck did she catch it?
What a sad end for both of them. If the disease was carried by rodents perhaps it could be passed to humans from their droppings? I have no idea but if Gene had advanced Alzheimer’s hopefully he was oblivious in his last days.

Unless she inhaled them cleaning up after their dogs? They lived in a heavily wooded area there would be lots of vermin around.

It could be something as simple as some drinks cans stored outside which rats defecated on and then she drank from one of the cans. 🙁

It's just awful.
This info just raises even more questions.

No food inside Gene.
She died a week before.
Gene's Alzheimer's prob meant he forgot to feed the dog and didn't feed himself either....and didnt understand she was dead.

What a terrible thing to have happened.

The dog was inside a crate after undergoing a procedure at the vet’s they think she passed away the same day she collected it.

They did say earlier that pest control people were trying to enter the premises and couldn't and they were the first to alert someone. Apparently they had a rodent problem somewhere in the premises.

Alzheimer’s is dreadful. Both of my parents had it, mum was much more advanced than dad, but when he died first mum was devastated. Then she forgot 20 minutes later that he had died so we had to go through telling her again and watch her breaking her heart again. This went on for 18 months until we lost mum too. I wouldn’t wish this on anyone. If Gene was advanced there is no way he’d be able to remember things like eating or everything else you need to do to survive. It’s just all so sad 😞

I'm just wondering... since the house was big... Could it be that Gene wondered around for a whole week without running into his wife? Could have used other bathrooms etc. It's still weird and tragic. And how about those daughters who never even tried to call? I am not buying them not knowing he had Alzheimer's and it being normal for them to not call for over two months. Did they even try on Christmas?

Apparently they were very reclusive and only seen in public recently after 21yrs maybe they cut his daughters off?

.An aunt of mine had Alzheimer’s, she was largely in a nursing home and physically in good shape but she had forgotten how to chew and swallow food towards the end and therefore was at risk of choking so used get rushed to hospital regularly

It gets that debilitating in the end
