I started RDR2 again last year when I was pregnant(Yep, went back to the snow. If you know you know )
I'm at 84% again now, & even though I've played before I still get annoyed when it's near the end & RDR3 is still no closer

Any Arthur Morgan groupies around ?
What do you want from RDR3?

Me! I'm currently on my third playthrough. At the moment I'm completely avoiding the main storyline and trying to collect all of the legendary animal skins, checking off the compendium, cigarette cards etc.

I'd say RDR2 is my favourite game of all time. I can spend hours upon hours fishing, hunting, exploring on my horse etc. I absolutely love it.

Same. That's what I plan to do on my next play through while I'm Arthur. I get lost in it. I think Arthur is my favourite character in a video game. I still haven't been able to visit his grave, no joke ! I was thinking today where I'd build a house if I lived there

I don’t play but I find it oddly relaxing watching my husband play. I think it’s the the horse
He’s on his second play through. I also used to enjoy watching him play Fallout 4

I'm not sure a next game with Jack would work as we'd be well into the modern era where cowboys aren't a thing anymore. I think the next game will revolve around the cowgirl (I can't remember her name) that seemed to branch off into her own business.

Sadie ? Yes I've heard this. I like Sadie so wouldn't mind that but as you said I think most people love the outlaw side of it and the horses so I think people may be right with the prequel & have it as a younger Dutch & Arthur as a late teen which I would prefer

I've had it installed for ages.
Thought the opening snow levels were really atmospheric and enjoyed playing though them.
Then it thawed/moved to lowlands etc and I just can't get into it. I've tried 3 times and want to find it compelling.
Starfield was so woeful IMO I'm casting around for something to play so I'll persevere and try again with RDR2.

Apologies for the double post. It's kind of RDR2 related though.
Before trying again with it I was browsing a video game message board and a few posters suggested I try the following. It's fairly open world, shares similar game mechanics and charcter/stat progression opens up various interesting game mechanics/opportunities. Don't be put off by the biker angle as I was initially it's not that crucial.
Also it's very bucolic/pastoral looking, has a day/night cycle and it rains/snows quite a bit.
All this stuff put me in mind of RDR2 tbh.
It's not excellent/gaming greatness but I'm spending all weekend trying to finish it so it can't be that bad IMO.

Done three playthroughs now of RDR2 it’s my favourite game ever. Keep thinking of going back in for a fourth go but don’t know if I can commit the time Would love them to remake Red dead 1. I can’t play it the graphics are too bad compared to Red dead 2 🥲

Did anyone play the zombie add on for RDR1?
There was this dreadful zombie horse you could ride and it constantly threw you/deliberately went in the wrong direction etc...

Aaah, some good memories of this game.
Tying people up with the lasso and then dumping them off in front of alligators in the Bayou swamps.
The old Snidely Whiplash trick of tying them up and then dumping them on the train tracks.
Hacking and stabbing the passengers to death when doing a train hold up.
Stopping the train on the trestle bridge at Bards Crossing and then doing a good series of sniper shots on the pursuing posse below.
Random ride-past dynamiting and firebombing various shacks. I got the Appleseed foreman and the entire inbred Watson family with this.
I remember that Shotgun to the face at close range is also a fun past time. There's plenty of victims in Saint-Denis.

I would also love that! I got it really cheap second hand a while back and started playing it but I just couldn't get into it again. I remember playing it when it first came out and I was amazed by the graphics and absolutely loved it. Now compared to RDR2 it's absolutely shocking
