I like that one. Beauty only gets you so far. There are more dimensions to a person. Don't look for the most physically beautiful person but the one who makes your life more beautiful. I've just had an op but the most beautiful people have showed up because they genuinely care when you are at your weakest. They still see your strength and are there to pick you up. I don't forget those people and will return the favour in a heartbeat. Love MrsC xxxx

Self respect is not something the world can give you. That's an inside job

"All truth is a paradox of life, life is both a precious gift and heartbreaking at the same time" Love MrsC xxxx

Sometimes when people you love hurt you its better to stay quiet because if your love isn't enough your words won't matter. Love MrsC xxxx

@freshhead @MrsCranky whatever has happened on another thread, stop derailing this one - it's unfair to the user that created it and for the people that post on it!
Bit of a far fetched assumption to make! You’re talking as if I know this user - I don’t, nothing has happened on another thread. Anyway, better not derail any further eh 🙄

This is quite sad isn’t it? The end?

The way I see it, if something makes you sad when it ends, it must have been pretty wonderful when it was happening. Truth be told, I always felt it a bit lazy to just think of the world as sad, because so much of it is. Because everything ends. Everything dies. But if you step back, if you step back and look at the whole picture, if you're brave enough to allow yourself the gift of a really wide perspective, if you do that, you'll see that the end is not sad. It's just the start of the next incredibly beautiful thing.

I love what you said Bonbon27. I had a big op a few weeks ago and Im not going to waste my life on the wrong people. There are people who I was there for when they were going through things but haven't even asked me how I am since my op or bothered to reply to a message. They made my day before all this and I'm a bit sad because of the way it's turned out but life is fluid things change and it's all for a good reason. "Sometimes you have to close the door on things, not because of pride or arrogance but simply because they lead nowhere". Ive been watching a guy on youtube called Earl Nightingale, mindsets of excellence. I love the bit where he says about red eyes and a hollow head. Love MrsC xxxx

If we don't experience sadness we won't appreciate happiness. Experience is a brutal teacher and we never know the true value of a moment until it becomes a memory. Make the most of everyday and always be pleasant and positive whenever you can. Be yourself always, because everyone else is taken. I love this thread. Love MrsC xxxx

I also like « No-one can make you feel inferior without your consent » which is something Eleanor Roosevelt said, I believe.
I like this because it pushes the 'have self confidence' vibe. So, why do you feel inferior? Is it valid (no probably not). Then just carry on. So, if you don't believe in yourself, who will.

I'd say this is different to other people who deliberately try and make you feel like shit.
