Anyone do pumpkins for Halloween? Would love to see them, I usually do 3 an I've got them but haven't started, don't want to waste them but am feeling kind of meh about it this year even though I love doing them, also does anyone do them early? How do you keep them from rotting or do you just let them go, I'd love to have them longer but I usually only get about 2 good days before they go

I’ve heard of some people putting bleach on them to keep them but I personally don’t
, I just keep them as they are and before they get rotten I leave them down to a woodland area by my house that’s frequented by squirrels, foxes etc as it seems a sin to throw them out and it’s a nice treat for them especially as food becomes harder to find this time of year.

We do ours a few days before Halloween it’s more for the kids to have something to do 😂 we aren’t amazing at them just basic triangle eyes and a smile🤣

I've only done it once and cheated by buying the super small mini ones so it was less effort.

For everything else:

These are my past attempts, I have a cheap rotory tool I got from amazon, burns out quick lol but come with a lot of different attachments

I think one year the fox stole the lid of one, went out next morning an there was no lid on it, I've had previous ones stolen as well, did minions ones only to go out at night to blow them out an find they had all be taken

These are some of the ones I’ve done in previous years, all requested by my kids. Still thinking up ideas for this year.

This is last years effort, not sure what to do this year, I need something more sophisticated than those plastic orange carving tools!
I got a rotory tool from amazon, think I paid like £12 for it an it come with a few attachments, battery lasts a good while as well, was around 8h into designing my pumpkin an that's it just needing charged now

I did one for a work contest a couple of years ago and I tried this, but honestly it was a lot of effort for very little return on how long it lasted, I wouldn't recommend bothering!

I would be kind of wary about it, one year the top got taken from one of mine an I assume it was probably the fox, I'd hate to bleach it an the fox gets it, I've been trying to keep my in cold rooms to see if it will help, I heard people giving them ice baths but I haven't tried it, so far I've only started one an it's for a competition, glowtec are given away harry potter tickets to the studios for best pumpkin, not sure if it will last till 31st but all I need is it done an photos before the 30th to enter

Yep I saw a few on insta and thought it was fun. I love the mini pumpkins but never know what to do with them!

The vinegar stinks but not as much as the pumpkin insides do 🤷‍♀️

It's a great little thing although am finding I don't quite have the attachments I need for my hogwarts, so I might need to upgrade lol but that will be for next year, too late this year to bother with anything
