Preston was in the spinning cup for 25 minutes!! 8 videos recorded 🤢 he was probably hoping he'd be sick maybe and get it on camera. Most people would last maybe 2-3 minutes on something dizzy without feeling sick. Poor poor boy 😞

Was prestons dna found on the sex toys ?
Yes. I don’t understand how that happens with a baby that’s only lived there for four months, isn’t mobile and they were kept under the bed. How much time does one get for sex toy sessions when trying to prioritise a sleep depriving small baby?
They seem to be claiming the dog would run around with them in its mouth. So then I guess Preston just happens to manage to get hold of them that way 🤥
Maybe put them somewhere else then you rank pigs 🤢 clean freak my arse.

10 snapchats that couldn’t be recovered 😣 I don’t understand why when others could be?

I actually think these two could be the worst child abusers in modern times, if not of all time.

I’m not saying one CSA is worse than the other; they’re clearly all horrendous. But these two are just on another level. The terror that child will have felt, being orally raped, choking on his own sick, until the point of going unconscious. It’s the most sickening depraved thing I’ve ever heard and it’s just hard to believe is actually real.

So far he’s blamed foster mum, the “faulty” bath, Ann Geddes, NHS 111, a fidget toy and now he’s throwing John/the high chair under the bus. Extraordinary. For a supposedly well off couple with a “beautiful home” they’ve been very unlucky with their equipment.

I dont have a child so this may be a daft question...
Is it normal for you to throw a dirty nappy out of the window? For your spouse to pick up?
If I had done that my wife would’ve picked up the nappy and shoved it into my face, its ludicrous behaviour

Just catching up but they met in 2018 and moved in together very quickly but "officially" (whatever that means) in early 2019.

I don't understand how 2x men, who had only been together for about a year before they started the adoption process and who had very limited experience of children, were fast-tracked through the process and were selected to adopt one of the very few babies available for adoption?
Afaik, only 80x babies are adopted in the UK on average each year, I have known people going through the adoption process for years, some were unsuccessful, some adopted an older child - so why were these 2x men selected to have Preston?

So you’re on here judging a crime- but I’m not allowed to judge a crime that is linked to this case. Had the original crime not been committed, none of this would have happened.
I know for a fact that her co-defendant has lived a completely crime free life since release and has children that remain in her care, so on that basis the original crime the birth mother committed is irrelevant. It’s a factor on her life path, but it’s not directly linked.
I would never take away from how awful her original crime was, but the fact is that the path that birth mother chose post release is what led to Preston being taken from her care. The circumstances that led to the baby being removed from care at birth are much more complex than has been reported.
Whatever anyone’s viewpoint is, whether she should have been released initially, or allowed to have children or whether he should have remained in her care is irrelevant & I regardless of whatever she has done, have compassion for her that the child she gave birth to has been murdered.
All that is important is that somehow this baby ended up in the hands of these two disgusting individuals and that justice needs to be served for Preston

Is it definitely the same person? Because it was my understanding that barristers choose their career path to be either defence or prosecution, and they don’t switch between the two.
If you're a barrister then you have to operate by the cab rank rule. You cannot refuse a client. Provided they can pay and the barrister is available then they have to take the job. We don't have barristers who only do prosecution work for the State/Crown. It means that even people accused of the most horrendous crimes have access to a good defence which then means that convictions are less likely to be appealed.

So if you're a criminal law barrister and very good at your job then you will do work for the CPS prosecuting and also be engaged by solicitors to defend clients. It also stops barristers from getting a negative reputation if they defend...well some one like these men.

Barristers have to put aside their own feelings in court and focus on ensuring that the principle of "innocent into proven guilty" is upheld.

Going off topic a little but does anybody know why the school he worked at were doing a welfare check on JV? Was it to do with Preston or to do with the school? I don't really understand why somebody’s employer would be going to their house to check on them when they’re on paternity leave and presumably not particularly in touch with them at that time? If I went on maternity leave and was struggling during that time there’s no way my employer would come to hear of it and turn up at my house. Maybe I’ve misunderstood the purpose of the visit.
He rang the school office and pretended to be someone else but the receptionist recognised his voice and knew it was him. Perhaps they fell for his attention seeking and ran straight to his door. I think he’s a fucking weirdo.

If I was on the jury I'd be wondering who in their right mind would put their nappy-less baby in a dry clean cot

Totally agree with this, it annoyed me today that Lancs Live headline says 'as parents back in court' they weren't his parents and they don't deserve that title at all!
I loved when the detective said "well you weren't his dad were you" during JVs police interview when he said he was naked in the bath with him cos he was his dad .

Preston was taken from his birth mother because she couldn’t stay away from drugs and took them while pregnant…. She clearly didn’t love and want him enough to stop the drugs.
Addiction is much more complex than that. The hold drugs and alcohol have over those who are addicted to/dependent on them is often not as simple as ‘if you loved them you’d stop’. Sometimes love and support is enough, often it will never be. Regardless of what anyone has done in their lives they will never deserve to lose a child in this way. But this isn’t about justice for his biological mum it’s about justice for Preston. If he’d been placed in a loving family and given everything he should have as he deserved he would/should have had a wonderful life with his adoptive family. Sadly, he was placed with these monsters.

It’s making me so mad reading all the “just a daddy with his little boy” comments he’s making. It’s knocking me sick. No, neither of you were his daddy. Neither of you had paternal instincts as you said previously. Just a pair of abusive beasts playing at being parents when they had to in order to hide what was really going on. Neither deserve the title of daddy or parent. That’s why I’m curious about his funeral I hope neither of them had any input with it - that little boy was not their son.

JV said he was “Grabbing the cross and asking the lord not to take him” give it a rest. That is an utterly ridiculous thing to have said, surely the jury won’t believe this pantomime!

I don't want this to come across as rude or policing the thread, but just a caution over using the term oral sex to describe the abuse, as it is allegedly oral rape rather than any consensual practice. I know there's nothing behind people here using that term, but just feel passionately about making sure the right terminology for what these two (allegedly) did to this precious boy.

Another horrendous thought I've had, is that pleading not guilty might be for one of two reasons. 1, JV does obviously have narcissistic traits and may genuinely think that he'd done enough to hide his wrongdoing. Option 2 is worse though. In prisons, sex offenders view their trial documentation as a commodity for giving to others, who get sexual gratification from reading the crimes committed. Trial judge reports tend to br very descriptive, including pathological findings etc so is used as a form of sexual abuse material in prison. I'm hoping he doesn't know that but it is an unfortunate reality of how depraved these minds can be

I don’t think there is anything weird about a baby having nappy free time. Every night before bath time was nappy free for my wee one. We are making something innocent in normal families sound so sinister

“He gave me a bit of a cheeky wink” ? Strange use of words in my opinion. Babies don’t tend to wink at people as far as i’m aware?!

Apparently all of Jamie's brothers and sisters have been in court supporting him 🤮🤮 the sister with the twins who gave him sleep training advice and said his thoughts of harming Preston were normal gives me very bad vibes

Of course there’s nothing wrong with nappy free time most parents do this with their own children for nappy rash or potty training for example - it’s only sinister in this scenario because it’s their excuse for the excessive amount of photos found on their devices of Preston being “nappy free”. They’re angling that the foster carer told them to do it and they’re trying to prove it with the “free willy time” phrase they’ve made up. She’s denying she told them to do this and says she’s never used that term. I believe her 1000 times over. She’s been a foster carer for years and years and knows how to safeguard the children she’s been allocated to look after. They’re clutching at straws to discredit her. I have a feeling this won’t be the only thing she gets thrown under the bus over.
