Usually you don't20 week scan tomorrow, do I need a full bladder?went for a gender scan at 16 weeks and they made me empty my bladder as it was affecting visibility.

I'm not needlephobic but had to get my partner to do them because I couldn't bring myself to stab myselfIt was honestly such a brilliant experience!
Yeah, partner was officially allowed to stay until 9pm but they didn’t actually kick him out until 10ish, and then supposed to be allowed back in at 9am, but arrived at 8ish to get a parking space and was going to wait in the cafe but they let him in.
One thing I would say is don’t be afraid to buzz the midwives when you need anything. I hadn’t changed a nappy by the time my partner had to leave because I still had my catheter, so when I had to do it I buzzed for help. Then once when I needed a wee and didn’t want to leave him. Then at least twice for help hand expressing colostrum - tmi but my nipples are flat/inverted so baby couldn’t latch, and I didn’t have the knack to express myself so a midwife helped me get a couple of syringes.
My partner has been doing the injections because I’m terrified of needles - they don’t hurt and they just sting a bit afterward, I’m too much of a wimp to do it myself but if you’re not needle phobic they’re absolutely fine!
