I’m old, so all I have are earlobe piercings. I do like the piercings people seem to have these days in all parts of their ears though. I really came on here to ask what the fascination is with tattoos on females? Not judging in the slightest, I’m just trying to understand what makes you want to keep having them. I want to be more understanding and accepting when my daughter keeps having them and I thought it might help to get some younger people’s views and opinions.
Im 41 so not exactly young, but I only started getting tattoos when I was 39.
Its addictive, and they are making me love the parts of my body I used to hate. I feel like they are making me beautiful. I love looking at them, mine are all super colourful and they make me so happy. Mine all have special meanings behind them, and I plan to get a lot more! If money was no object, id be getting ink way more frequently than I do!

I have 13 ear piercings! ^ in one ear and 7 in another. I have my lobes done 3 times in both, a triple forward helix and conch in one and 2 cartilage (top ear) and also my rook done. None really hurt but the triple helix was a bitch to heal as i had all 3 done at the same time. My conch got infected a fair bit and my rook has been a dream I was just scared to touch it!
I would love a small tattoo to tribute my horse of a life time, but I only want it when he is no longer around

I love tattoos. However, I have one large one that I would like to have removed. Has anyone had any successfully removed and/or any further advice?

What was the most painful place for tattoo / piercing? None of mine were too bad, it was the length of time one of them took that aggrivated me moreso than the pain
Inside finger most painful followed by inner elbow

I’m covered in them , couple I regret and have been reworked but the rest all have sentimental reasons for me , I have my daughters ashes mixed into some of them .. granted that’s not for everyone’s dinner some may find it strange but to me it is something healing

A girl I speak to at the gym was having a tattoo removed from her hand. She went to Sk:n Clinics, you just basically have as many sessions as needed until the tattoo is gone. Tattoos which have colours in them require more treatments, than single colour tattoos. So the tattoo on the left hand side would need more treatments than the one on the right:

Only just found this thread but love reading about what everyone has got. I finally bit the bullet and got my septum pierced at the weekend. I've wanted it done for so long but I've always put it off as I was convinced it would be extremely painful. It was actually one of the easiest piercings I've ever had! It was over so quickly and hasn't hurt at all since. If anyone else has been considering it then go for it!

Why not?

I went from 0 tattoos to 4 in a month 🤣 I'm 36. They are addictive.

But also, they aren't a new thing. People have been getting tattoos for hundreds of years. It's just another way of expressing yourself.

I had my forward helix done recently and it’s the only one which has struggled to heal, I think it’s because it’s really awkward to sleep on. The advice I had was to boil chamomile teabags (pure ones, no caffeine) and when they’d cooled just enough to hold it over the piercing till it cooled to reduce swelling. I can’t tell if it worked tbh as it may just have healed itself but it can’t hurt!

I’ve had my nose pierced three times (never thought the placements of any suited my face so constantly let it heal up and get re done in another position) and to me that is the worst pain 🥴

previously had my septum done and have my ribs tattooed which were a breeze in comparison! For some reason nose piercings just reaaally hurt for me

I Do! I love it! Didn't hurt as bad as my triple forward helix! but cleaning it for a week or 2 after was a bit sore. But i love it and it looks so nice!
I'd love a triple foward helix, but my helix is really thin and I literally don't think there's enough of it there to be able to pierce.

Really like this one.

I got one tattoo on my upper arm 30 years ago, never felt like getting another.
I'd probably like to have it removed tbh.

Ive got 4 lobe piercings in each ear, plus a helix in my right ear, both nostrils and septum (my favourite piercing!) and navel.
Ive also got three tattoos - large ones on each forearm (both sentimental) and then a tiny daft one on my left arm. Got another fairly large piece booked for later this year.
I got my first tattoo at 39, plus all of my nose piercings. Finally feel like me!

Have my first tattoo booked next month, I finally took the plunge and I’m so excited!!
Apart from my ears I just have my nose pierced but would love my belly button done. Just concerned about it healing when I wear high waisted things all the time 😩
