God used to adore Pete but my god on the podcast all he does is complain and drone about oh duck this, duck everyone, I’m miserable. It was endearing to start with but now it’s so annoying.
I agree he used to be such a laugh…he’s now just angry,miserable,nasty to Sam constantly I stopped listening a while ago.Hes been like that from Maura dumped him,can she take him back might cheer him up a bit.
And all the time saying about the listeners, oh if you don’t like it duck off etc. it was funny at first but for God Sake Pete, these people pay your wages!!
It’s like when Instahuns make remarks like this on their stories when they’re called out on their behaviour. If I was a fan of somebody and/or followed them on social media and they said this I would immediately unfollow as like your say their followers pay their wages! Very rude
I feel like their podcast has gone from funny and lighthearted and something they seemingly enjoyed to a chore.
It seems like a chore for them to make and it's becoming a chore for me to listen to.
The main motivation seems to have shifted from a fun project that they could also make money from to solely a money-making pursuit.
Now, the podcast starts with a 4-5 minute ad and has another 4-5 minute ad in the middle.
Pete complains and is a bore while Sam really plays up to the 'I don't know anything' narrative and constantly comes out with painfully unfunny and unnecessary euphemisms that make him sound like a 5 year old boy obsessed with fart jokes.
Sam promised he'd attend the Monday team meeting four times and four times he 'forgot' and missed it. He just seems so unprofessional.
I get the impression that Pete at least works hard and manages the team, the budget etc. Sam just swans in and acts like an idiot.
The podcast definitely needs a shake up and Pete needs to get a grip.
