They've started ramping up the promo for their xbox kinect type thing, looks very underwhelming - mainly draws a box around you to track movement. Maybe it would be interesting a few times, but can't see many bothering long term or the device to help the company recover.

I imagine they're targeting people who can't afford a bike/tread and/or don't have the space for one at home, but you can easily do the yoga/Pilates/strength classes without this gadget, it doesn't really appeal to me. I don't want to see how stupid I look when I attempt Pilates moves haha!

I don't think I'd purchase the guide but I do like the update with all the class descriptions, previewing the movements and showing you what bits of the body you've been targeting most. Super helpful

I found it hasn’t been applied to some older classes though. Which is annoying because some have good playlists and I just wanna know how many stupid planks you’re gonna make me do :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

The wedding content was HILARIOUS. I went right off her after than, haven’t done another of her classes again. The way she was prancing about and the husband is just standing there like 🥴🤣👌🏼.
Sameeeee was really cringe 🤣

I’m not sure about the guide either tbh I’d prefer the rowing machine but im not sure how the class format would work with a rower 🧐

I did a new strength class with Callie yesterday and she spent most of the class telling peloton guide users how to get the most out of that equipment...how you need to position your body, how you need to keep moving even in rest as otherwise you dont get points etc. Started to piss me off 🤣🤣🤣

Does anyone have any suggestions for classes to help me build a bum?
For context, I’ve lost a lot of weight after having a baby and everything looks flat and pancake like 😂😅

Barre classes and eat more to grow that muscle!

I think the most recent drops are all guide focused, so I'm avoiding them

Barre is great! I’d also focus on the 10 minute glutes and legs, they’re non-stop for ten minutes and I feel like I’ve worked harder then in some of the longer classes. They pack as much as they can in that time

I've just done a little squeal at finding a Peloton thread on here!
I have a cheapy eBay spin bike and a second hand treadmill, which I use with the app, but they've definitely been some of the best purchases I've made.
A recent discovery for me is the sleep meditations, I haven't yet made it to the end of a 10 min one 🤣

Aw yeah I like those! I usually do them so I don’t lose my blue dot 🤣

my bike is the best thing I’ve ever bought myself, I’m embarrassingly gushy about it

Haha yes I have used it to keep my "week streak" 🤣

I'm a runner mainly so I use it as cross training and treadmill when I can't be arsed to go out!

Anyone find the official FB group irritating. Good to ask questions but some people need some real friends. There is absolutely no need to tell us every class that you did

Yeah the sweaty selfies annoy me so much! If I wanted to see a sweaty face after a workout I’d look in the mirror

The UK group isn't as bad, but the main official one is awful. People can't ask a question without getting jumped on. There are a few people on there who seem to delight in being as snarky as possible.

Yes! All of them are so irritating I had to leave them all
I'm not arsed about your sweaty face, or how you've done 4 hours of workouts before 3am
I love the hardcore on the floor group and sweaxy strong though

I’m about to mute the official groups. My Facebook timeline is full of complaints about the price increase.

Share price drops another 30% in the last few days as earnings were significantly worse than the low estimates. Wonder how much longer they can continue for?

I remember when people were saying as they dropped to $100 it was a good opportunity to buy, I thought hell no!

Peloton shares hit new lows on Tuesday, after the connected fitness company reported far higher quarterly losses than expected and warned it was “thinly capitalised” for a business of its scale. The New York-based maker of exercise bikes and treadmills reported a net loss of $757mn for its fiscal third quarter — almost triple the $267mn loss analysts had expected. Peloton now expects fourth-quarter revenue of between $675mn and $700mn, below analysts’ consensus forecasts of $820mn.

With them being around for over ten years I don't think they'll just suddenly disappear, they'll be acquired by a software or sports brand like amazon, Nike or Adidas.

The pandemic defo made the old CEO go wild but how much more did he think they'd grow realistically? Me and my husband would never set foot in a gym again now we have the bike and tread - but we're fortunate enough to have a dedicated gym space in our house with weights, racks, bench etc so neither of us feel like we are missing anything from a commercial gym (and we hate other people!)

They've got a very dedicated subscriber base so they need to focus on them, which I think they are doing as they emailed me through the week saying I'm one of the top members, asking me to share my peloton story for their socials, a personal video off some instructors and a £100 apparel voucher!
