I've just signed up to the app and I'm going to try out spinning at the gym. Hopefully I'll love it and will be able to manage to spin with my foot injury. I plan to buy a non-peloton bike for home .

I see a few days ago there was a lot of beef with some of the fan groups in Hannah Franksons group. Anyone know what happened? I noticed there is another fan group now so seems like a divide

For the bike / tread / row? Everything else still there? That’s how I read it.

Not had the email myself mind you, tread and bike owner so have “all access” app. Excited to see what the row classes are like though as looks like some are available, we have a concept 2 in the garage gathering dust post-lockdown… might just use it again now!

Personally I think this was well overdue and the app has always been cheap and the content has grown and improved significantly. Other apps are higher still than this new increase and if I was an app user I’d absolutely have no issues with the rise

The change in the price structure was well overdue in my opinion, the gap between the app price and all inc massive, people were effectively being penalised for owning equipment that they had to pay for on top.

I get the logic of tempting people on to the platform (it’s how I started after all) but I’m guessing it’s not working now and people are choosing to downgrade.

Off now to do the Lewis Capaldi ride, I was kind enough to allow husband to do it live and it’s killing him to keep all the funny bits to himself, best go before he spoils it for me!

I can see why app users (of which I am one) are annoyed. It's a big increase in cost, percentage wise, to continue using the app as we currently can. There will be some who are priced out by it.
But I also agree it was overdue, and still represents (for me, anyway) good value for money. I don't have the opportunity to go to a gym but there are plenty of opportunities for me to workout at home. So I will probably upgrade in December. But I do understand why other users are frustrated.

I can see people being disappointed with the app doubling in price for them, but as a bike owner paying £39 after buying an expensive bike, I always thought the app vs the all access price seemed back to front.

I didn't realise the Canadian subscription for the app is going up to $30, that's a 130% increase

I guess the fact the price increase isn't applied until December gives people time to research their options. I don't understand why there doesn't seem to be an option to pay annually for the UK app though

Ngl I don't even know how much we pay with the bike because it's in my partner's name but £24 still sounds like an absolute bargain for the amount and quality of content on the Peloton app if it's the same as you get on the bike. If it's been £12 this whole time that's insane.

Exactly this. I think a lot of people on the Facebook pages have lost sight of that. £12 for unlimited content is madness. £24 is reasonable. A lot are comparing it to Les Mills which is £12.99 but I don’t think the two compare at all.

Me too, I miss all the drama, apparently it kicked off the other night in Bradley’s obsessive stalker group. Had hoped it was his wife telling them all to take a good look at themselves in the mirror but it was to do with people wanting to buy other people’s studio places
