The camera work is really the only thing I take serious issue with they clearly couldn’t rehearse all of this in one go, I get it, but how is it possible that they didn’t think about this

The whole thing needs storyboarding. It's like a live news event where they're randomly switching between cameras with no idea what's coming next.

And what is the difference to this and horse racing whips?

Horse riding whips are very different and padded. Normally used on the rump of the horse so it is very different. Still abhorrent in my opinion to use any whips, but there is a big difference. I want all "sport" with animals to be banned. There is no need for it and this shows exactly why. Animal abuse is rife when money is involved. It's disgusting.
