Ingebritsen was huge as a youngster. He's coached by his Dad and he's got two (I think?) brothers who were also massive when they were in their late teens on the track circuit. He was always kind of expected to do great things but sadly he's never really produced the goods. At 16, he was the youngest teen to run a sub 4 mile and holds the 3k steeplechase record. He's got a fair record to back up the arrogance tbf! ETA - he's also only 23!

I think all the brothers fell out with the Dad. Last time I looked, I couldn't seem to find out why. They're keeping it quite quiet, but it might be about how he wanted them to train.

Genuinely it’s one of my fave sports…..it’s like the grand national with humans not horses!

Asher-Smith 4th, Daryll Neita 5th - 1 hundredths of a second between the two of them. Only 2 hundredths between 4th and bronze!

Gabrielle Thomas seems so lovely. Happy for Julien Alfred too - I would have loved her to do the double!

She came across so, so well in the Sprint documentary. And her partner is a Brit, IIRC! Seems like a nice lady.

I am still making up a discipline in which I could exel and medal (even though I am totally not competitive in sports )

It reminds me of that story of Kate Winslet keeping her Oscar in the bathroom so guests can grab it and make their acceptance speeches while being there
