Had it just been Rob having a go about Josh, I'd have assumed it was usual Rob baiting him. But Michael seemed to be really pissed off too (considering he does the edit and left it in, it says a lot really).

I thought Josh was definitely aggy, but in this instance he was in the wrong. Even if the cleaner was late on this occasion, he seems to regularly be late or in the midst of chaos.

I haven’t had time to listen yet but as someone said before, they can just edit those parts out. At the same time, isn’t this what makes them ‘relatable’. Life gets in the way and that’s just how it is sometimes

They did say he does it a lot and they usually edit it out.
Obviously sometimes it's unavoidable, but you can't just expect everyone else to wait around while you sort out personal stuff when you're supposed to be working. They may have other things to do afterwards. They'll all have agreed on the time, so it's up to Josh to make arrangements to lessen the chance of being disturbed and held up.

And I thought it was funny hearing Michael getting annoyed.

Yeah this was one of the rare occasions that I agreed with Rob. Sort yourself out Josh - you are at work! Rob still goes too far though and he verges on being a bully sometimes

I'm glad I'm not the only one, i agree Josh needs to be more prepared but Rob absolutely killed it going on and on and on as usual

Micheal had to leave it in or there wouldn't have been anything left the amount Rob went on about it!!

if we're playing by work rules then in most places they would've moved on from the disruption then brought it up with the person offline.

I WFH and within the team I work closely with no one thinks anything of getting up to go and grab a quick delivery during a call. That said, if it's an important presentation or something then people wouldn't.

For me it started as Rob and Michael having a cheeky pop at Josh but then descended into Rob running it into the ground, interrupting Josh and then bringing up the builder and the house - again. It's so tedious!

I think it comes back to ‘useless Josh’. Similar to how he describes a fairly normal day we all have and thinks it’s the worst day in the world… he hadn’t had the common sense to know the cleaner was running late so leave a key out??? I would find it frustrating if I was Rob when they’re things that are avoidable

I agree that if Josh sees this as a serious work commitment, he should have plans in place to make sure he’s not interrupted. Whether that’s Rose arranging to be home while he’s recording, or rearranging cleaner/delivery arrivals around it… it’s not like Rob can continue on the convo in the same way that a meeting could carry on if one person mutes and steps away for a minute. If someone on my team disrupted every meeting for low level life admin, I’d be having a conversation about managing that better.

I feel like Rob thinks everything he does is the right way or the norm. Like today it's fine for him to collect football shirts but sticker books and cricket bats are what nerds do.

Bear with me here….
But does anyone else think Josh’s voice sounds like he’s just eaten a bar of dairy milk??
Like, it sounds like his throat is all claggy.

Yeah Rob is very self righteous. For someone who can be really sweet and self aware at times he can also be oblivious and a neggy wick.

Continuing the theme of awkward interactions, I actually found Lou's voice note quite awkward

I know what you mean, it was a bit 😬 but I quite like it when they confess that they aren’t getting on too well and their lives aren’t as perfect as we might think they are. I’ve been doing the school run for 17 years and I can count on one hand how many times my husband has done it 😢 so the fact that Rob does it most days despite not getting in from work until 1am is pretty amazing in my eyes 😍

I think it’s obviously completely fine to be frustrated with your partner. I don’t have kids so don’t have the school run aggro, but I can see how it would grind. And I do agree that it’s good to share that sometimes they get annoyed with each other on the pod.

But an 8 minute voice note? That I assume she asked Josh to read on the podcast? She could’ve kept it breezy with a “right to reply” type thing to set the record straight, but again it went on for so long and didn’t have a particularly jovial tone.

Again, fine to be cross with your partner but maybe just say that to them directly and then say something a bit funnier/lighter for the pod.

Also, don’t want to be all “PETA” about this but the idea of getting two goats seemed insane to me

When he said about getting a temporary goat and then possibly rehoming it if they didn't get on I thought oh god, he's opening himself up to some criticism here.

Also, I thought that Rob's hamster chat was odd. He said in the past it died, another time he said they'd rehomed it... Then this week he's texting Josh about what it's like to have a hamster. Minutes later he's going on giving Josh advice on best cages/bedding/hamster care etc.

He is all over the place! What is the truth 😂
