Josh’s local hospital has primary urgent care and GP out of hours located in a&e by the way

I felt sorry for Josh today . .
I do agree with others how he rushes off to A & E at the drop of a hat but I truly believe he suffers so much with anxiety ( especially when it comes to health)
Rob ½ heartedly "sympathises" but there's ALWAYS that element of piss take there too . .
The thought of Josh laying on his "bed" on the floor and crying 😢
It's good that he feels able to talk about it but it made me feel sad for him.
Jesus Christ. He is so bloody wet. And stop using A & E as a bleeping doctors surgery. Bellend.

The shoe thing. I don't think ordering multiple of something then sending back the ones you don't want/need is that unusual. For example, how often have people been invited to weddings and ordered a load of outfits to try on?
He also acknowledged that not everyone can do this financially.

I do find his logic a bit odd though. If you're going to trail all the way to the shop to return the ones you don't want, why not just take the kids with you, get their feet measured, and buy the shoes? I know it's not most kids' idea of a fun day out, but I'd say his kids are old enough to understand that these boring jobs need doing sometimes.

I don't think it's the parenting hack Rob thinks it is, and I got the impression Josh agreed.

Yeah, I got the impression that he had been told previously that he would need to go to a hospital in that specific situation.

Was also surprised by Rob in the latest ep going on about aching skin - I thought that was a standard part of having a cold!

I know the guest they had on is insanely popular but based on that episode, I do not get the hype

If you have breathing issues and call 111 or 999 they either take you in or tell you to go in. I was taken in on more than one occasion even after the neb had sorted me.

Yea I assumed everyone’s skin hurt when they had a temperature.

I genuinely think that Josh has actual health anxiety. This isn't him being a soft a, it's a genuine thing. My daughter is the same and it's heartbreaking. She gets a pain somewhere and she instantly thinks it's cancer, sounds stupid to someone who isn't riddled with anxiety (she has PTSD and various other mental health issues) but it's a genuine, horrible, crippling condition.

Luckily for my daughter I'm there to ease the worries and we've learned how to handle it. As I said before, I don't think Rose and Josh have and for whatever reason they go straight to worse case scenario each time.

In the case of his asthma and his son's high temp that wasn't coming down, even with calpol, the advice would have been to get to see a doctor.

I dont think the multiple shoe thing is much different to ordering outfits for myself if I am going to an event. I will order multiple styles and sizes. My kids however when they were little always loved going for school shoes as it was always followed by a trip to Macy’s and Toysrus !

Did Rob mention one of his children's names on todays pod? Around the 36 min mark? I won't say it but I just wondered if it's a joke name that they use instead because I was quite surprised at it

Do you mean Nancy? No that’s not one of his daughter’s names. Must be a friend!

Anyone think Josh did seem genuinely quite pissed off on this weeks episode?!
Totally. I found it a bit uncomfortable.

Rob will just run a 'joke' to death.

Surely it doesn't matter if Josh gets up to answer the door because the podcast isn't live and they can just edit it out? Instead, they keep in 10-15 awkward minutes harping on about it.

Plus, no problem for his kids to stroll in when their iPads have ran out of battery etc.
Christ, if I had a penny for every time I answered the door whilst working from home I wouldn’t have to work from home any more 🤣
It was an awkward listen.

on a more positive note - I saw Rob’s standup at the weekend and he was very good

Yes it was a bit uncomfortable, although I can kind of see where they're coming from - they only record for 2-3 hours a week at the same time but he always seems to have something going on during that exact small time slot 🤣

He also seemed genuinely surprised at the suggestion of not answering the door! I think it was unavoidable with the cleaner this week but generally with Amazon parcels etc, you can pretty much change the delivery options with ease these days!

I saw Rob’s stand up tonight, he made a lady ring her husband and he spoke to him. Lots of ad-lib and off the cuff stuff. Very funny.

I work from home and if I was on a call with a customer or an important meeting I wouldn’t be answering the door! It makes for a good bit on banter in the podcast though

It was funny to begin with, especially where the other guy denied saying a word about it in Josh absence. . But, in true Rob style, he ALWAYS takes it too far and it becomes unfunny and borders upon bullyish and boring . .
I bounce between liking Rob and not, this week was the latter 🫤
