That's usually my take on it but for some reason Josh annoyed me this week.

Totally agree with everyone re the latest episode. Surprised they even bothered putting it out. I usually really like Josh and I know we are all entitled to a moan and feeling a bit sorry for ourselves but “I wish I was bleeping dead” on a public platform, seriously?
Another few eye roll moments today, Rob loves the sound of his own voice doesn’t he
The Christmas Carol shtick is tired now too. Robs done it a couple of years.
Still really enjoy it and caveat is with mental health is indiscriminate with who it affects of course but podcast moving slightly from being every day things any parent could struggle with to talking from very privileged positions about things that definitely ain’t relatable and are often of their own doing.

Do they genuinely think other people’s lives are just really straight forward? God the complaining about how stressful it all is is so infuriating. They have it much better than most!!

I was really trying to cling onto the fact that I like Rob and Josh but Rob made it really difficult with yesterday’s episode!
The first 15 minutes just nit picking at Josh ‘why don’t you do this, why don’t you do that’. If he was my friend he’d stress me out so much. Then the Christmas carols concert that he’s too busy and important to attend. ‘Don’t they realise I’ve rearranged my busy schedule for this!’ Yeah that’s what most parents do actually.
I don’t know what’s happened, he never used to be this annoying I’m sure!

can totally echo this, he completely reached self entitlement yesterday. Josh got his kitchen done, we know - get over it. It's weird he feels the need to go on and on and on about it 
I think they've fallen into the trap that a lot of influencers and celebs fall into - they get popular because people find them relatable, so then they deliberately try to be relatable by saying things like they're tired or stressed (because those are things we all feel at some point) but actually what people liked about them in the first place was that they had 'relatable reactions' to the mad bits of being famous etc.
I'm going through a bout of insomnia and am listening to old episodes at night sometimes and they were never really that relatable (and they just can't be- which is fine with me. How could they be?) but they'd actually tell stories, sometimes insane, about their weeks and it would be their telling of them and reactions which were entertaining.
Whereas now there seems one too many episodes where they don't really talk about what they've done, just say that things are hard. The recent episode of Josh being ill was an example of that. However I found the episode where he's talking about being in Finland (was it?) really funny - it was an 'unrelatable' experience, but that didn't matter because it was entertaining.
In general, I don't find it worthwhile to constantly think 'well if you're stressed you should try my life!' because I'm sure there are people who would look but I do agree that they've pushed it a bit recently.
Also Rob has got to let Josh get a sentence out - it's so hard to listen to.

Honestly, I find the "they're not relatable" argument a weird one. These are wealthy celebrities, they're never going to be relatable to most of us. It's a completely different lifestyle.
People expect them to share certain things about their lives, such as holidays. They're not going to say "let's just go to Skeggy this year love, we want to seem relatable."
The complaining about working until the 20th is no different to what I'm hearing from the parents at school who have the officey type jobs and are moaning they don't finish until Monday, or moaning they "only" get a week off this year. And Rob's big rant about there being a lot going off and a lot of pressure in December was right. I've had similar conversations with other parents at school.
I do think Rob needs to rein in the interrupting and talking over people. I also think that the pair of them play up to their stiff neck/loose neck personas. I'd bet that neither of them are as extreme in real life as they appear to be on the podcast or on TV.

Agree. I listen because I find them both funny- I don't need them to be relatable, I have friends to talk to for that! Agree Rob needs to stop cutting Josh off though, it takes him 10 mins to finish a sentence lately
Agree completely. I don't care if they're relatable, they're entertaining (with the exception of Josh moaning about having to stay in Air Bnbs which sent me over the edge

They were much more relatable as *parents* previously. Not so much anymore. That combined with the incessant moaning and Rob being an annoying wick is killing the good vibes of the podcast IMO.
I can't relate to them at all. I am not a rich celeb, nor do I have kids.

Josh complaining about being in the Air B&B or that hotel, and now the 4 of them sleeping in the attic is a bit of a joke. Many people would love to be in a situation where they could stay away from home while renovating. What I don't understand is why they didn't find some place they could stay for the full duration, rather than having 50 check-ins!
And, I know this is rich coming from someone who doesn't have kids - but Josh's sleeping arrangements are really starting to annoy me. Every holiday they go on, Josh and Rose never sleep in the same bed. Now they are back in the house, their daughter won't sleep in her room "because she doesn't want feel away from the family". Maybe it was the way I was brought up - but I'd never get away with that!
