I’m not saying Simon Cowell is innocent in any way but let’s not forget their parents let them audition (age dependant) and I would hope parents would check over any contract before it is signed or get a lawyer to do so
I'm not sure it's something that could be dealt with as a contractual issue.
It's more like child abuse, with the adults pushing the child in the direction of the adult agenda, and the child then just employing whatever coping strategies they could to deal with what situations they found themselves in.
I always found it chilling on x factor or whatever show when one of the older people (who held all the power) used to say to the young hopeful 'you're a star! What I've seen today means you're definitely a STAR, and you could WIN!' and you'd see the little one's eyes light up...and there they were, ripe for slaughter.
Surely everyone realises now from the examples that youthful fame coming out of nowhere is not a good idea for anyone?
Let's face it, whatever you think of Simon Cowell, there's no way his son will be encouraged to go into the music business as a performer.
